Brittany , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s the best or worst investment you’ve made?
I’m going to keep this as short and simple as possible: My best investment was was myself.
I was fighting being a single mom, working, going to school, my son starting kindergarten, a global pandemic, the majority of the world around us shutting down, the death of my grandmother and my partner being out of the state for work. I had every reason to quit but I didn’t.
Somehow, I came out on top and now I’m here. I’m a business owner, BN Aesthetics TN is thriving, I’m doing what I love and every day is a new adventure.
I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be, doing exactly what I’m supposed to. Life has been crazy leading up to this point but I’d do it all over again.



Brittany , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am a licensed esthetician and lash technician. I offer custom, result-based facials including dermaplaning and microdermabrasion, lash extensions, lash lifts, brow and lash tinting and full body waxing.
I have always had a love for all things beauty but my passion was kicked into overdrive when I developed cystic acne at age 21. Besides a spot here and there, I had never dealt with acne, especially to the degree of cystic.
I spent 2015 on fighting through and trying to find something to cure my skin. With the help of a wonderful dermatologist and amazing skin care line, I was able to get the help I desperately needed.
I pride myself in offering a custom experience for every client. No matter your background, I strive to offer an inclusive and wonderful experience for all.



Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Social media and word of mouth. There are tons of estheticians and lash technicians in my area, so I have to provide something the others can’t. I am friends with quite a few of the other techs in my area and while we are all wonderful, I feel that we each offer our own style of lash sets. Clients will talk, good or bad, so you always want to give them the best experience possible.


Can you open up about a time when you had a really close call with the business?
I opened my business in 2020, right when things were just starting to open back up and boy was it a struggle. I have come close to missing my booth rent a few times and really have to kick up the hussle in those situations.
Luckily, things have worked out this far.
