We were lucky to catch up with Brittany Lanier recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittany, thanks for joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
My mission is for our youth to establish a path within our communities, before going to college. When growing up I often had mentors, community centers, and leaders within my family, however, more often than ever our youth is depending on Instagram and other social media sites to help them with career decisions and more important just finding out who they are as a person which can sometimes blur lines within. So, within my mission, I would like to help our youth find trades they may be interested in whether its hair, nails, barber, or truck driving I want to assist by being a mentor to our youth and helping them build relationships early on and establish discipline within to succeed.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Loyal Allure is a brand that is loyal to all things beauty, as a licensed nail technician and aesthetician outside of servicing our everyday clientele; I have recently taken the opportunity to work with our local youth to help them discover their passions which can turn into a possible career for our youth who haven’t yet discovered their career paths. We offer nail classes for teenage youth to have the opportunity to learn the skill of nails with the opportunity to apply to local nail schools at the age of 15 in the state of North Carolina, Completing our teen nail class prepares the students for the day at which they enroll in nail class they will be prepared and disciplined to take the state board test and become a nail tech at the age of 18; as well already developed the skill.
Loyal Allure isn’t just a place to come get serviced it’s also a place to bring your child who would like to succeed outside the typical day-to-day options of the average teen.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
The biggest advice I can provide when it comes to social media is to stay CONSISTENT. Social media algorithms are real, and they change daily. You want your content to stay relevant and a part of those algorithms. Trending subjects and hashtags make them a part of your everyday hashtags. Do your research to find hashtags that are always being searched and use them even if they have nothing to do with your actual content use them. Be sure to try and find the times at which you should post, about when your hashtags are searched; you do this by following your hashtags from your personal page. Notice I did say personal page, your business, and personal social media should be separate, however, you should still bring personality to your business page.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Word of mouth, a google business page, and most importantly, being active in your community. I know it sounds cliche however this will work for you. Staying consistent with these key items will help you grow your clients and create clients.
