We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Brittany Jones a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Brittany, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. One of our favorite things to hear about is stories around the nicest thing someone has done for someone else – what’s the nicest thing someone has ever done for you?

There are moments in life when an unexpected act of kindness changes everything. For me, that moment came at a time when I felt lost and uncertain about my future. I had found myself in trouble, thinking that I might never be able to work for someone else again. My professional world felt like it was crumbling, and I questioned if there was any path forward.

Amidst this uncertainty, I developed a growing passion for photography. I started capturing moments, experimenting with angles, lighting, and perspectives. But despite my enthusiasm, I couldn’t afford the tools to take my passion to the next level.

That’s when my best friend stepped in. She saw something in me that I didn’t even fully recognize in myself. Taking a major risk on a dream of mine, she sowed into me my very first Canon camera. This wasn’t just a gift, it was an investment in my future, an act of faith in my potential.

That gesture sparked the beginning of my photography journey. With my new camera in hand, I began to learn, to grow, and to discover a world of creativity I never knew existed. What started as a gift became a turning point that led me into the heart of my photography business, a path I’m still on today.

I will always be grateful for that moment, for the belief she had in me when I had none in myself. It was the kindest thing anyone could have done for me—and it changed the course of my life.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

Hey everyone! Wow, where do I even start? My name is Brittany Jones, and I am the founder and photographer behind Solo Creations. Photography has been a part of my life since I was a little girl, with my dad always having the latest camera, capturing precious memories. My family and I still love to pull out old pictures and videos, reliving those moments. But for me, photography didn’t fully come into focus until I had spent over five years working behind the scenes, what I like to call “in the dark room,” being processed and groomed by God.

Throughout my journey, I’ve learned that my purpose is deeply rooted in our Creator. I went through a phase of searching for my identity, and it all pointed back to God, where my true purpose awaited. Solo Creations was birthed out of the powerful story of Esther in the Bible. Esther was placed strategically by God for a moment that changed the trajectory of His people. It was through this story that I came to understand that photography wasn’t just about creating beautiful images, it was about fulfilling a bigger purpose.

Solo Creations is not just about taking pictures, it’s about capturing moments that reflect your story, your purpose, and your unique journey. I specialize in portrait photography, events, and special moments, helping people tell their stories through the lens. Whether it’s a personal milestone, a family reunion, or an intimate portrait, my goal is to create meaningful images that capture not just a moment, but the heart behind it.

What sets Solo Creations apart is that I approach every session with intentionality. I believe every client is uniquely created for a purpose, and I am committed to helping you see yourself through that lens. What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect of being a Christian photographer is knowing that my work is a reflection of my faith and purpose. It’s about more than just capturing beautiful images, it’s about capturing moments that are meaningful and full of significance. As a Christian photographer, I see my work as a way to honor God by sharing His love and creativity with others.

Photography allows me to help people see themselves through God’s eyes, whether that’s through a portrait that celebrates their unique beauty or a special moment that reflects His blessings. There’s something deeply fulfilling in knowing that my craft can impact people’s lives in a positive and profound way.

Every session feels like an opportunity to serve others, to share joy, and to preserve memories that celebrate God’s handiwork in their lives. The act of freezing time in a photograph, knowing it will be cherished for years to come, feels like a gift not just for my clients but also for me, as it reaffirms my purpose in this work.

Ultimately, it’s about using my talent to point back to the Creator and to remind others of His goodness, beauty, and faithfulness in their lives.

How’d you meet your business partner?

From the very first time I met Dominic, I knew there was something incredibly special about him, something that spoke to my soul and resonated deep within me. We met during a time when we were both on separate paths of personal growth and spiritual discovery. I was living my life through the lens of a camera, capturing moments that told stories of beauty, love, and faith, while Dominic was just beginning to explore the world of videography, finding his way and his voice in the creative process. It was one of those moments when you meet someone and everything inside you clicks, like God himself was orchestrating the meeting.

Our first date was filled with conversation that felt so effortless, as if we’d known each other for a lifetime. We talked about our dreams, our values, and our passions, and I could sense that this wasn’t just a fleeting encounter, it was something destined to last. As we talked about our individual journeys, I realized that Dominic wasn’t just someone I wanted to share my life with; he was someone I wanted to build a future with, in every sense of the word.

We both had a vision, separate at first, but as we spent more time together, it became clear that this was not just a romance but a partnership in every way. We both shared a deep love for capturing the beauty of life, for preserving memories and moments. It was in that shared passion that the seed of M&M Productions was planted, the vision of a business that would combine our talents and bring our creative and spiritual lives together in a way that was bigger than anything we could have done alone.

In 2023, with faith guiding us, we made the decision to unite our skills in photography and videography, and M&M Productions was born. From the very beginning, we knew we wanted to create more than just beautiful images and videos, we wanted to create memories that would last a lifetime, memories that would reflect the love and faith at the core of our own journey.

Together, as husband and wife, we approach every project with a shared mission: to help our clients relive their most precious moments, whether it’s the joy of a wedding, the miracle of a new birth, or the celebration of family milestones. We pour our hearts into every frame, knowing that we are not just capturing images, but preserving the essence of love and faith that is at the center of each moment.

Through M&M Productions, Dominic and I have created something that reflects not only our individual passions but our shared purpose. We’ve built something that honors our love story, and every time we see a client smile when they watch their film or look at their photos, we know that we are doing exactly what we were meant to do. It’s a beautiful reminder that when you put faith at the center of everything, amazing things happen.

As a couple, as business partners, and as parents to our three beautiful children, we are constantly reminded that our story is just beginning. God has brought us together, not just for ourselves, but for something greater than we could have ever imagined.
