Hi Brittany & Jakarie, thanks for joining us today. Can you tell us the backstory behind how you came up with the idea?

We came up with the Miller Narratives when we missed big moments in our lives. Due to mishaps in our own wedding, there were key details we wanted documented but things fell through for one reason or another and we realized, “we never want this to happen to someone else”.
We never want anyone to miss out on being able to look back and have a smile or a voice documented on whatever special day they’re having.
This led us to a story-telling approach.
How can we show your personality? The way you hold each other. The laughs you share when you think no one is watching. The tiny details.
Every. Tiny. Detail. Deserves to be shown.

We are Brittany and Jakarie Miller, Photographer and Cinematographer of the Miller Narratives (previously Fendley Beauty & Photography)!

Both originally creative in other aspects of our lives with Writing, Directing & Acting – we’ve brought our collective passions together.

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?

I wish I realized that there were people who actually wanted to see you grow and to grow with you, rather than see you as competition. That is a resource I feel like we don’t talk about enough. It’s really about finding your creative community and those who are willing to build with you. – Brittany

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

You know, there’s something special about the personal connection we offer. It’s like stepping back in time to the days of mom-and-pop shops, where you felt like a valued member of the family. We genuinely care about our clients, and when we connect with them, they’re more than happy to recommend us to others. – Jakarie
