We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Brittany Gutierrez a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittany, thanks for joining us today. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your business sooner or later

The question that pops up in every business owner’s mind. When I first started building my business, that question was the first thought that came to mind. Am I starting my business too late? Will this set me back? As I was writing out my business plan, the last 10 years flashed in my head. At that moment is when I realized that I started my business at the perfect time in my life. If I started my business sooner, I would not have had the mindset of a business woman as I do today. It wasn’t my time to be a business owner just yet. It was my time to be a mom, to go through struggles and failures, to finish my masters degree in business and to learn more about myself. Once I had my business plan down then I kept pushing back the start date because I was scared of failure. Then I remembered all the times where I did fail and I just got back up and tried again until I made it through. With that being said, that is when Envision Creations was opened in June 2022, an event and party decoration business. If I didn’t go through what I did, then I wouldn’t have the confidence and courage to be where I am today. I am a successful business woman, a mom of 3 and a wife.

Brittany, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

My name is Brittany Gutierrez, I am a mother of three and a new wife. I created Envision Creations in June 2022, an Event and Party decoration business. The business provides various products and services for any special occasion. Our main services and products provided are balloon decorations, floral decorations and custom products to make any party stand out. We strive to make sure our clients are stress free on their special day. I wanted to create a business where every project is different. I always loved being creative and trying new things. That is why this business is a perfect combination. No client is the same and that is what makes it so much fun. Being able to create something new each time and seeing my clients reactions. Envision Creations is a business where we take your vision and make it a reality. No matter how big or small it is.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?

One thing about growing a business is consistency. We have a tendency to get caught up in life and forget our main focus when it comes to building a business. One thing I have learned and still working on is consistency. Growing clientele is all about staying consistent and keeping your business up to date. People want to see a business that is constantly interactive. My best strategies are keeping up on social media posts, advertising on social media platforms and having friends and family help by sharing your business.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

Being a mother of three has really been the main reason to stay going. I became a mom at the age of 18. I always wanted to show my children that anything is possible with dedication and patience. I graduated high school, went to college and started building my career. I had late nights of homework and then woke up early to go to work. I never gave up even if life knocked me down. I graduated with my associates degree, then bachelors degree then decided to continue my education to get my masters degree. Then I opened up my business. No excuses, If you want it, you have to work for it.
