We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Brittany Gloria a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Brittany, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you recount a time when the advice you provided to a client was really spot on? (Please note this response is for education/entertainment purposes only and shouldn’t be construed as advice for the reader)
As a nurse injector with years of experience, one of the most meaningful conversations I have time and time again with clients centers around the simple yet powerful idea of investing in yourself.
When it comes to aesthetics, beauty is a personal preference. While there’s a growing appreciation for injectables, there’s also a lot of fear-mongering in the industry, especially with the rise of social media. That’s why I focus so heavily on education, listening closely to each client’s concerns and goals. It allows us to create a customized treatment plan together, one that feels aligned, empowering, and realistic.
I love being able to share my professional perspective on what I think could subtly enhance someone’s natural beauty, always with a deep respect for the unique facial features that make each person distinct. True beauty doesn’t come from symmetry or perfection, it’s the individuality that makes someone stand out.
And aesthetics is not just about injectables. Enhancing beauty, improving skin health, and supporting anti-aging goals takes a layered approach. Skincare can truly be life-changing, it’s often the secret to aging gracefully. While injectables absolutely play a role, the combination of high-quality skincare and thoughtfully performed treatments work hand in hand to elevate results.
Whether someone is just beginning their journey or has been prioritizing their skin for years, I make sure every client leaves with a clear, realistic starting point. There’s always a way to begin supporting your skin and aging goals with intention, and I’m here to help guide that path with care and expertise.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
For those who may not know me yet, I’m a nurse injector based in Scottsdale, Arizona, currently practicing at Curated Medical. My background began in the fast-paced world of emergency nursing, but everything shifted for me after nursing school when I treated myself to lip filler and Botox. That experience left a lasting impression, it opened my eyes to the power of aesthetics and how these treatments could enhance not just appearance, but confidence.
Not long after, I found myself working for a plastic surgeon in his operating room and post-operative recovery. It was there that I was given the opportunity to begin injecting, and it felt like everything aligned. That moment was my launch into this incredibly competitive industry, and I haven’t looked back.
For the past few years, I’ve grown and flourished at Curated Medical, a boutique aesthetic practice where I’m fortunate to offer a wide range of treatments including neuromodulators, dermal fillers, biostimulatory injectables, radiofrequency microneedling, laser services, and skincare guidance.
What I love most about my work is helping clients feel confident in their aging journey, whether that means supporting preventative anti-aging or turning back the clock to address fine lines, wrinkles, volume loss, and skin texture. When you feel good about how you look, it creates a ripple effect in every area of life. I’ve seen this firsthand with my clients and I’ve experienced it myself.
What sets me apart is the personal connection I build with each of my patients. Yes, we are medical professionals, but finding an injector you genuinely enjoy seeing, someone who listens, educates, and celebrates your unique beauty is so important. I always say: you’re trusting someone with your face, so you should also feel comfortable and supported during the process.
My goal is to create a space where people feel excited to come in, empowered by knowledge, and heard throughout every step. I truly value open communication and ongoing learning, because this industry is constantly evolving and so am I. My clients know they can always come to me with questions or concerns, and I’ll meet them with honesty, expertise, and heart.
At the end of the day, I feel lucky that I get to hang out all day with people I truly enjoy, doing what I love helping others feel like the best version of themselves.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
One story that truly illustrates my resilience happened early in my journey into aesthetics. Like many aspiring injectors, I knew breaking into this industry wouldn’t be easy, but I didn’t anticipate just how challenging it would be, especially when I began pursuing it during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The timing made everything more difficult, training opportunities were limited, hands-on experiences were few and far between, and securing a shadowing position or apprenticeship felt nearly impossible. It was a time that required creativity, patience, and a lot of persistence.
Instead of waiting for the “perfect” opportunity to come along, I decided I’d create my own. I reached out to people I knew, tapped into my network, and stayed open to possibilities that might not look traditional. I’m incredibly grateful to a close friend who worked in plastic surgery, she helped me land a meeting with a surgeon, and I pitched myself not just as a nurse, but as someone passionate about aesthetics, eager to grow, and fully committed.
I accepted a role as his PACU nurse with the understanding that I would transition into injecting when the time was right. He upheld that promise and that opportunity changed everything. It was my way in, and it was just the beginning of a career I’m so proud of.
Aesthetics is a difficult industry to break into, and I share this part of my journey to encourage others not to give up. Sometimes, the door won’t be open, but that doesn’t mean you can’t find another way in. What I’ve learned is that persistence, adaptability, and staying true to your passion are the keys to moving forward, especially when the path isn’t clear.

Do you think you’d choose a different profession or specialty if you were starting now?
f I could go back and choose my path all over again, I would choose this profession every single time, without hesitation.
With a background in emergency medicine and post-operative care in plastic surgery, I feel fortunate to have fulfilled a traditional bedside nursing career. I look back on those days with so much appreciation, they helped shape me into the nurse I am today. But now, after nearly four years in the aesthetic industry, I can honestly say I’ve never looked back or wished to return to what I was doing before.
There’s something incredibly special about working with women and men who are seeking to enhance their natural beauty or simply age gracefully. I get to be a part of that journey, to guide them, educate them, and celebrate their progress along the way. That level of trust and connection is such a privilege.
What brings me the most joy is the relationships I build with my clients. They’re not just patients to me, they become my friends. I genuinely care about their lives, their milestones, their vacations, their everyday wins. Our bond is so meaningful, especially when we’re navigating vulnerable or emotional conversations around self-image and confidence. To be part of that, to help someone feel more beautiful and confident in their own skin, is incredibly fulfilling.
I’m living out my dream job, and I’m so grateful for it. Choosing this profession has brought me purpose, joy, and a deep sense of connection. I wouldn’t change a thing.
