We recently connected with Brittany Geier and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Brittany thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
In 2022, I made a bold decision to leave my 9-5 job. Despite the comfort and rapid career growth I experienced as a buyer in sustainable fashion, I felt a deep longing for a different, more liberating experience—one that was closer to nature.
The year before, I had been slowly converting a van into a camper. This had been a dream of mine for years, yet even as the van neared completion, I was afraid to take the leap and leave my job. Simultaneously, I felt a strong pull towards coaching, an aspiration I had pursued training for in the past, but had felt was out of reach.
Despite my fears, doubts, and the many voices in my head warning me against the unknown, I made the decision to quit my job and live in my van full-time while completing my coaching certification.
While the journey had its share of challenges, it was undeniably the best decision I’ve ever made. For the first time, I prioritized my own health, healing and dreams. I spent a year traveling across Canada and the United States in my van, witnessing some of the most breathtaking sights I’ve ever seen and reconnecting to true self. Along the way, I had the privilege of virtually coaching clients, helping them move towards lives that were more authentic, vibrant, and fulfilling.
None of this would have been possible if I hadn’t taken the risk and embraced the unknown.

Brittany, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m Brittany, a certified Holistic Wellness and Mindset Coach. My journey into coaching began with a deeply personal experience. I faced a challenging period with autoimmune disease, experiencing symptoms like hair loss, chronic fatigue, unregulated hormonal cycles, cystic acne, and unrecognized anxiety and depression. Despite my efforts to naturally heal myself through extensive research and adopting natural approaches, I still felt unwell and stuck, with a pervasive sense of hopelessness lingering. I learned that there isn’t a map or a 10-step process to healing; it’s a journey you must embark on to find the answers for yourself.
This difficult experience ultimately brought me back to coaching, which I had explored through training years before. It took reaching a dark and painful point to push me toward a path that would have otherwise seemed too scary. I stepped out of the societal norm, left my job, moved into my self-converted camper van, and completed my coaching certification through the Co-Active Training Institute with the singular intention of uncovering true health and happiness. During this time, hiring my first coach immensely helped me uncover what was truly going on inside me.
Now, I have the honor of supporting women going through similar challenges—those looking to heal at the deepest level from chronic illness and autoimmune disease and live the authentic life of their dreams.
My coaching practice is rooted in the belief that the body is a self-healing organism and that true well-being starts from within. I work closely with women navigating chronic health issues, helping them make sustainable lifestyle changes, shift their mindsets, and find clarity and confidence in their health and life choices. I also support them in accelerating their healing process and reconnecting with themselves and their intuition and deep inner wisdom.
What sets me apart is my personal journey and the deep empathy and understanding I bring to my coaching practice. I’ve been where my clients are, and I know firsthand the challenges they face. This allows me to provide a level of support that is truly authentic and impactful.
I’m most proud of the transformations I witness in my clients. Seeing them overcome obstacles, change their mental narratives, reconnect to their bodies and come back to a place of health. Coaching is a deeply personal and transformative journey. It requires showing up for yourself in a new way and consistent effort. However, it is one of the most beautiful gifts you can give yourself.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I’ve had so many pivots in my career and life so far! I grew up as a dancer and that was my whole life from the ages 4-18. I even went to a University while I was in high school and majored in Contemporary dance. I then realized that dance wasn’t the career path for me and went to study Industrial Engineering at Purdue University. Part way through that degree I realized this career wasn’t for me either, so made another pivot into a long time passion of mine – sustainable fashion. Since this wasn’t an obvious move I had to network and find a way into the industry, but it was possible and I spent 4 years working for a sustainable clothing company. My latest pivot was moving from the fashion industry into coaching.
I am someone who likes to learn consistently and thrives from change!
I share all of this to say, don’t be afraid of making pivots in your career and life! Follow what feels right for you and go for it. It doesn’t matter what it looks like from the outside. What is more important is that you are learning and growing in the ways you want to and moving towards a day to day life that you desire.

Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
What I have found is most helpful for succeeding in the coaching field is commitment to my own growth and healing. This energy is infectious and your clients can feel it. The more wisdom you embody yourself the more you can help others.
