Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Brittany Gary. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Brittany, thanks for joining us today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
From a young age, I’ve had a natural ability to brighten others’ days with a smile, and I’ve carried that energy into my work. Photography allows me to build lasting relationships while capturing moments that bring joy and confidence to my clients. I feel fulfilled knowing that I’m creating memories that people can cherish, and I’m driven by the desire to share my gifts with the world! I hope to be remembered as someone who always brought light and positivity to others. I want people to say that I made them feel seen, beautiful, and valued through both my photography and the way I treated them. I hope to leave a legacy of kindness, joy, and genuine connections—someone who was able to brighten a room and create lasting memories that people treasure long after I’m gone.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hello, I’m Brittany, also known as SmileyyTheCreator or just Smileyy. Im a fashion and editorial photographer based in Atlanta. I specialize in editorial and conceptual photography, where fashion meets storytelling. I’ve been in the field for about six years now, though my journey into photography began much earlier. Believe it or not, I once thought I’d become a dental hygienist! But after graduating high school, I realized photography was my true passion.
Photography has been a part of my life since I was a kid. I’d sneak my mom’s Kodak cameras to capture random moments, surprising her with developed film full of my shots. I was always loved snapping photos on someone’s phone, fascinated by how you could freeze a moment in time and have it forever.
However, I didn’t fully pursue photography until after high school, despite hearing from people that it wasn’t a real career. I decided to follow my passion anyway and enrolled in school for photography and graphic design. While graphic design wasn’t my strength, the moment I picked up a camera, I knew I’d found my calling. The energy and fulfillment I get from making others feel beautiful and confident are what fuel my career.
At Flawless Photography, we offer a range of professional services, from fashion portraits to lifestyle shoots, all designed to capture the true essence of each client. We create high-quality, memorable images that reflect your unique personality while preserving special moments for you to cherish.
What sets us apart is our focus on building genuine connections. We believe that a successful photoshoot comes from trust, comfort, and collaboration, turning each session into an experience.
I’m proud of the relationships I’ve built and the joy I’ve brought to my clients. At Flawless Photography, it’s not just about the photos—it’s about creating lasting memories.
For those interested in working with me or following my journey, know that my work is driven by a true passion for empowering people. I aim to create not only beautiful images but also a relaxed, supportive environment where you feel truly seen and valued.
Thank you for getting to know me and my work—I look forward to connecting with you soon!

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Well, there have been many humbling moments in my career, but one that truly stands out is when I lost my car and had to sell my first camera to make a down payment for a new one. I needed transportation, and while it was heartbreaking to part with the camera that started it all, it was a necessary sacrifice. Thankfully, my family helped me get another camera later on. However, not long after that, I lost my job and had to fully rely on photography and art to get by. It was a challenging time, but in every setback, I made sure to keep going and put my faith in God. These experiences taught me resilience and strengthened my passion for photography, even in the toughest moments.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Building my audience on social media has been a journey of consistency, connection, and authenticity. It started by simply sharing my work and engaging with others in the creative community. I made a point to not only post regularly but also interact with my audience and fellow photographers, responding to comments, sharing behind-the-scenes moments, and being transparent about my process and growth.
One of the key things that helped me was staying true to my voice and vision. I focused on building relationships with the people who followed me, rather than just focusing on numbers. I shared my passion, my struggles, and the stories behind my photos, which helped people feel more connected to me and my work.
For anyone just starting to build their social media presence, my advice is to stay consistent, engage meaningfully with your audience, and be patient. Authenticity is key—people connect with real stories and genuine passion. Don’t be afraid to show the person behind the camera or the work, and always stay open to learning and adapting as social media trends evolve. Most importantly, believe in your vision and let that guide your content. Keep Smiling – Smileyy
