We were lucky to catch up with Brittany Ervin recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittany, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
The most meaningful projects that I’ve worked on are my writing discussions and workshops. It is an enriching experience helping others reach their creative goals.
Brittany, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m an author, speaker, and creative. I also do modeling, journalism, podcasting and creative consulting. I am self-published, so I got into the writing industry from my own curiosity. I always wanted to write a book. So I started by doing my own research within those the first few years. I share my learning experiences of the ins and outs of getting published. I help others gain an understanding of the business basics of self-publishing.
What sets me apart is I’m a community connector. I am a believer of sharing knowledge and resources. There is room for everyone to grow and thrive. I am that person who will encourage and root for you to succeed.
I’m most proud of helping people get to their next level. What I want people to know about my brand is I enjoy empowering others in their journey toward reaching their creative goals.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The variety and freedom. From pouring your heart and soul on a page, to interviews that turn into conversation pieces, to creating memorable events & experiences. Bringing your ideas to life. The gratification from living in purpose are some of the most rewarding things about being a creative.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Entrepreneurship is a journey. You have to intentionally press forward through all of the highs and lows. I’ve wanted to let it all go and still question it at times. It can be an uphill battle staying motivated. But when God places something on heart that is apart of your calling, it will triumph over fear and doubt every time. I am reminded of my why when I create. Other people are waiting for me to show up. Their blessings are connected to my diligence; for those reasons, I keep going.
