We were lucky to catch up with Brittany Decaires recently and have shared our conversation below.
Brittany, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Coming up with the idea is so exciting, but then comes the hard part – executing. Too often the media ignores the execution part and goes from idea to success, skipping over the nitty, gritty details of executing in the early days. We think that’s a disservice both to the entrepreneurs who built something amazing as well as the public who isn’t getting a realistic picture of what it takes to succeed. So, we’d really appreciate if you could open up about your execution story – how did you go from idea to execution?
Royal Tea was born during one of the lowest points in my life, when herbal tea became part of my self-healing. I didn’t start with the intention of creating a business—tea was simply how I calmed my nervous system, soothed my gut, and reconnected with myself. Those late-night blends sparked my love for herbalism and showed me how powerful intentional healing really is.
The moment I realized these teas were helping me remember my own worth—my own royalty—I knew I wanted to help others experience that same shift. That’s when the idea of Royal Tea was birthed.
Moving from idea to execution took research, discipline, and a lot of imperfect action. I spent the next days and months studying herbalism, figuring out my brand identity, sourcing quality herbs, learning labeling and compliance, testing blends, and slowly building a community around transparency and intention.
The truth is, I just kept taking the next aligned step, even when I didn’t have it all figured out. What pushed me forward was knowing Royal Tea wasn’t just a product—it was a purpose. And once I understood that, launching became a natural extension of my own healing journey.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Brittany, and I’m the founder of Royal Tea—a holistic herbal tea brand rooted in self-healing, intentionality, and remembering your royalty from the inside out. I’m a homeschool mom, an herbalist in practice, and a woman who has turned some of her deepest personal challenges into her greatest calling.
I entered the world of herbalism and wellness during a period when life felt heavy and I needed a way to return to myself. Herbal tea became that pathway. What started as me blending herbs to soothe my nervous system, support my digestion, and calm my spirit evolved into a real passion for understanding the body from a mind-body-spirit perspective. Over time, that passion became purpose, and that purpose became Royal Tea.
Royal Tea provides intentional herbal blends crafted to support emotional balance, gut health, grounding, and reconnecting with your inner power. Every blend is created with a clear energetic intention behind it—whether that’s choosing yourself over self-sabotage, creating calming space in your body, or helping your system slow down and feel safe.
What sets Royal Tea apart is that it’s not just tea.
It’s a healing experience.
It’s a reminder.
It’s a ritual.
People come to Royal Tea because they’re looking for more than a beverage—they’re looking for alignment, clarity, and relief. The “problem” I solve is helping clients reconnect to themselves through simple, daily acts of care rooted in herbal support. I help people create a lifestyle of internal grounding so they can show up better in every area of their lives.
I’m most proud of the intention behind every blend, and the community that has grown around that intention. Royal Tea has helped people feel seen, supported, and empowered in their healing journeys, and that means everything to me.
What I want potential clients, followers, and supporters to know is this:
Royal Tea was created so you can remember who you are.
Every product is designed to help you feel safe in your body, confident in your choices, and connected to your worth. And as I continue evolving on my own healing path, Royal Tea evolves right alongside me.
My work is heart work.
It’s healing work.
And it’s for anyone who’s ready to pour back into themselves—one cup at a time.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
One of the biggest lessons I’ve had to unlearn is the idea that I need to be perfect in order to be present. For a long time, I equated showing up with having everything figured out—having the right words, the right knowledge, the perfect delivery. But life kept showing me that perfection isn’t where connection happens.
The breakthrough moment for me came after Royal Tea participated in a community give-back event. The organizer invited me to do a live interview afterwards, and leading up to it, I was wrestling with my own inner battles around being seen. I kept questioning if I was “ready,” if I knew enough, if I would say the wrong thing. It was old conditioning telling me I had to be flawless to be worthy of attention.
But when I went live, something shifted. I realized that my community wasn’t looking for a perfect version of me—they were looking for me. They were looking for my presence, my intention, my authenticity. I didn’t need to know all the answers. I didn’t need to have mastered everything. I just needed to show up as myself.
That experience taught me that presence is more powerful than perfection. And ever since then, I’ve made it a point to show up honestly, even if I’m still learning, still healing, or still figuring things out. My community connects with my humanity, not my polish—and that realization has freed me in ways I didn’t expect.

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
I’ve learned that connection is the heart of brand loyalty, especially in wellness. People don’t just want to buy a product—they want to feel seen, supported, and included. So with Royal Tea, I’m very intentional about creating multiple ways for clients to experience the brand and stay connected.
One of our most loved offerings is the Royal Tea Taster Program. It allows new and returning clients to try a sample-size blend for free—they only cover shipping and handling. This gives people a low-risk way to experience the energy, taste, and benefits of a blend before committing to a full size. In addition to that, we offer sample sizes of every blend, so clients can explore what resonates with their bodies and intentions.
To stay connected, we engage consistently through email, Instagram, and TikTok, sharing education, behind-the-scenes content, healing tips, and updates. We also have a review request form that invites honest feedback, which helps us improve and lets our community feel heard.
Another huge part of building loyalty is our in-person pop-up events. Pop-ups allow clients to meet me personally, smell the herbs, taste the blends, and understand the intention behind the brand. Those face-to-face interactions build trust, familiarity, and genuine community—people walk away feeling like they’re not just customers, they’re part of something.
Everything we do at Royal Tea is rooted in creating connection, accessibility, and an authentic experience. That’s what keeps our clients close and keeps the brand growing from a place of love and intention.
