Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Brittany Chesney . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Brittany , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?

1945 Event Co. was truly a dream in the making. I can remember being in elementary school and dreaming of owning my own party supply store. I have always had a passion for planning events. This continued through out the years and lead me to study hospitality and event management in College. My love for celebrating and organizing events lead me to finally start my own business in 2018. My grandma was a major role model in my life and after her passing in 2019 I rebranded to 1945 Event Co. in her honor. After many years of doing family and friends events, 1945 Event Co. did our first paid event in winter 2019. Ever since then we have created over 120 weddings and events for our clients. Weddings are our heart and events are our soul. We have a team of 6 and are growing every year. This is a dream some true.

1945 Event Co. was crated from a family rooted love for a good time. In memory of my Grandma Gilmore, 1945 Event Co. honors and celebrates all of life’s special moments. We want all our clients to feel love and accepted. We are here to bring your vision to life and leave you with lasting memories. We have a passion for planning weddings and events and focus heavily on the design and details that make an event unique and memorable. We offer full service planning, design services, decor rentals, and Coordiantion services.

How did you build your audience on social media?

I have found that posting regularly and showing followers behind the scene moments seems to get the most interaction,

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?

Bride to bride groups on Facebook and making recommendations on there!
