We were lucky to catch up with Brittany Burns recently and have shared our conversation below.
Brittany, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you recount a time when the advice you provided to a client was really spot on?
The best advice I always give to a clients is that consistency is key to results. Most conditions have taken years to develop so it takes time to unpack how they’ve gotten where they are. I have a client that comes in sparingly but still has the same issues with PCOS. From day one, I explained that what she needed was advanced care that would include having a yoni steam setup in her home and changes to her diet. However, she elected to continue on the same path she was on and has not seen any results. If you treat yoni steaming as just a spa treatment instead of a holistic care practice especially when you are considered an advanced client, then you will never obtain the healing that you deserve.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My journey to healing began in late 2018. I always experienced heavy cramping and severe breast soreness prior to and during my period. My sister (and massage therapist) suggested that I try yoni steaming. I had no idea what a yoni was or how steaming would help me.
I began searching on google and social media and saw a few websites explaining what it was and how it worked, but I quickly lost interest because none of these sites went into the detail of what I was looking for. I stumbled upon Supreme Naturalz on Instagram and observed my future mentor for months before deciding to take the leap to start yoni steaming.
I purchased my first yoni throne and purifying herbs and by my second cycle, I no longer experienced PMS symptoms, breast tenderness, and cramping. I also noticed that my insomnia disappeared and that I no longer had a strong odor emanating from my sacred spot.
In 2020 I became certified as a vaginal steam practitioner and Zoe Life Naturalz LLC was born. I look forward to introducing vaginal steaming to women globally and healing women and their wombs in a holistic and positive way.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I had absolutely no idea what I was doing when I first started so I started with adding my friends. From there I researched hashtags and pages that resonated with my niche. I was following any and everybody. Now I prefer a more organic reach. I just post about my day and my products and whomever my content resonates with, they stick around. I think stepping up as authentically as you can is what keeps people coming back and connecting with you.
Have you ever had to pivot?
When I started my business I wanted to introduce and educate women on reproductive health through the use of alternative and holistic practices most notably through vaginal steaming. What I’ve come to realize is that I could expand my reach by including holistic health as a whole through holistic education as a whole.
