We were lucky to catch up with Brittany Broussard recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Brittany thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?
My Dad Taught Me Confidence & My Mom Taught Me How to Be Vulnerable .
They have a Great Impacted in Both My Hobbies & Professional Life .
Confidence & Vulnerability has helped me change lives. Especially When Others Find Themselves wanting to Give Up. Or having Walls that Seem Impossible to Tear Down .
My Confidence/ Vulnerability pushes Me to Reassure other Individuals that I could sense potential on .
Helping them Heal by Having Scary Conversations the One’s that are traumatic.
My Confidence has opened a lot of doors for Me . Especially when It came to modeling.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Well, first and foremost, I would love for everyone to know that I am a princess, because this is how I connect with other like-minded individuals on the terms of intriguing, the imagination . Everything we want in life, we get no matter the cost ! Only in an honestly & healthy way.
But more on a serious note how I got into modeling : I was the child in the family that wanted to be a fashion designer , I wanted to be a professional cheerleader , to go to the Olympics , you know I wanted to do a lot of things that required the spotlight for one individual , because the attention was never on me as a child . I said to myself, how can it be all about you and how can you grow?
What is so special about you ?
And I remember having a conversation with my dad
Because I found myself down spiraling y after failing a few Asvab Test , it just freaked me out because I took it three times and I filled it, so I became discouraged
And he said what are you good at ??
I Responded “I’m good at being sexy “
He said “ never ever ever say that, say you were good at being confident”
So I Started Asking Myself , What do confident people do when they have a lot of energy stored up ?
So I started taking pictures of myself on my iPhone and someone commented that I should apply for modeling gigs && it was history ever since .
I started doing fashion shows and that’s how I started collaborating & meeting new people and making new friends and understanding who I truly was. It definitely exposed where my insecurities were hiding . Which cause me to speak up about it , publicly .
So I am Model // Content Creator
I make jewelry because it’s therapeutic, and I make self-care baskets for single moms and college students and for girls who want to give gifts to their friends or family
And on the end of holistic therapy, I Am a Foot Massage Therapist.
I chose that part of the body because that’s where a lot of stress is stored in the body that’s where a lot of trauma is stored and that how you realign your nervous system as well as your immunity. A lot of people are aware of that.
That’s just a little bit about me 🥰
Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
Faith & Risk Taking
You HAVE TO BELIEVE IN YOURSELF WHEN THERE IS NO ONE ELSE IN YOUR CORNER BECAUSE IT GETS LONELY
YOU CAN NOT ALLOW FEAR TO CONSUME YOUR HARD WORK AND TALENT !
It Robs You of Your Quality & Joy
Be Sure to Always Have Pure Intentions Behind Everything You Do !
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
Everyone’s Success Story is Not the Same :
I had to unlearn that I won’t make it the same way someone else has . I had to get out of my comfort zone of being jealous/ envious. I had to stop comparing myself !
