We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Brittani Green a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Brittani, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you share a customer success story with us?

I have had a numerous amount of customer success stories, however there was one that stood out a little more than the rest. This particular client contacted me after seeing my ads on the internet. When speaking to the client, I could confirm that she was in disbelief of the process and even my work. After reassuring my client of my experiences and showing her my success pictures, I convinced this client to give it a try. The client states she had recently received treatment a few years back of the exact same service and had a terrible experience. I knew and understood this was a challenge for me to not only convince her, but also make correction on someone else’s mistakes. However, I was ready and prepared for the challenge. After about two hours of work, it was time for this client to review my work and see if she approved. Feeling confident, I was patiently waiting on the reaction she would give once she saw how good she looked. Screaming and crying tears of joy, this client was ecstatic with the results and gave me the biggest hug for making the impossible, possible. I felt so good that I was not only able to give her the satisfaction she didn’t believe in, but also the confidence to feel good again. This is one of my most favorable success stories.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

My name is Brittani Green, my business is called Brittani C Artistry located in Madison, AL. I am a brow artist and I specialize in semi permanent makeup. I offer Microblading and Microshading services. Microshading is a form of a cosmetic tattoo in which I use pin like dots of pigmentation to achieve a filled in eyebrow. In microblading I use a bladed needle to apply pigmentation underneath the skin, it fills the eyebrow by making hair like strokes that looks like a natural eyebrow. These procedures can be done to fill in parse eyebrows or anyone without eyebrows. I have been working as a brow artist for about 3 years now. I got into this industry because I always had very thin eyebrows and I filled them in everyday with an eyebrow pencil. I started to research about permanent eyebrows. I did not know it existed and I finally found businesses that offered this procedure. I wanted to get the procedure done, but I also thought about how so many other people didn’t know about this. I came up with the idea to find a school that would certify me to do them. I was recommended to a permanent makeup artist in Gainesville, Florida. I contacted the instructor and scheduled for the class. I took the course and became certified. I enjoy the creativity that comes with this type of work. Many clients feel as though if they don’t have any eyebrows that it will not be successful, but those are my favorite clients. I love to show them the final result.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

I believe that my work should always speak for itself. Most of my clients are by word of mouth and referrals, but I do utilize most social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Tik Tok. I make sure to post different things on various days. It maybe educational, inspirational, and product knowledge. I make sure to show the before and after process of my work.

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?

I believe a leader should always lead by example and give respect to others. When it comes to managing a team there should always be clear communication and transparency. The team should understand the vision for the business. Encouragement is vital in this business, there may be days when you may feel overwhelmed but when you have someone pushing you and motivating you to greatness, it can take away the burdens. Recognition and kindness is the key to maintaining high morale.
