I am a dental hygienist by trade and the owner of Maid for Muddy Paws, a professional housecleaning company I have successfully operated for the past 10 years. My passion for cleaning extends beyond just homes—I often say I clean both teeth and toilets!
Over the years, while providing cleaning services, I noticed a significant need for home organization. Many households struggled with clutter simply because items lacked a designated space. This not only made it challenging for homeowners to maintain order but also created difficulties for housekeepers trying to deliver the best possible service.
A common request I received was: “I need my house cleaned and organized.” However, many clients expected these to be bundled together at a lower price, despite them being distinct services—much like expecting both a dental cleaning and a crown for a discounted rate. Cleaning and organizing are separate yet complementary disciplines, which led me to launch PassionNEAT Organizing.
With PassionNEAT, I provide tailored organization solutions that set the foundation for a cleaner, more efficient home. By addressing organization first, we ensure that routine housekeeping is more effective and sustainable. Additionally, I offer discounted rates for clients who utilize both services, allowing us to create a structured plan rather than rushing through an overwhelming task in a single visit.

Over a decade ago, I founded Maid for Muddy Paws, a pet-friendly cleaning company that specializes in professional housekeeping services. Through this journey, I recognized a major gap in the market—many homes weren’t just dirty; they were disorganized. Without an organized foundation, cleaning could only accomplish so much. This realization inspired me to launch PassionNEAT Organizing, an interior organization and design service that helps clients create functional, clutter-free spaces.
How I Got Started
My path to entrepreneurship wasn’t conventional. While working as a dental hygienist, I always had a love for cleaning and order. When I started Maid for Muddy Paws, I quickly learned that many homeowners struggled to maintain cleanliness not because they weren’t hiring the right cleaners, but because their homes lacked systems of organization. It was clear that professional cleaning and home organization were two distinct services, yet deeply interconnected. By separating them, I could provide better solutions for my clients.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
During COVID, like many business owners, I faced an unexpected challenge. With the economy shifting and many households tightening their budgets, my cleaning company, Maid for Muddy Paws, experienced a slowdown. However, instead of seeing it as a setback, I took it as an opportunity to reassess what people truly needed in their homes.
With more people working and schooling from home, I noticed a growing frustration—not just with cleanliness, but with disorganization. Homes were becoming multi-purpose spaces, and many lacked functional systems to keep up with daily demands. Clients weren’t just asking for a deep clean; they needed solutions for clutter, better storage, and overall organization to make their spaces work for them.
This realization led me to pivot and launch PassionNEAT Organizing. The extra time during the pandemic allowed me to research, refine my approach, and develop services that would help clients create organized, stress-free environments. What started as a necessity quickly became a passion, and today, PassionNEAT continues to help homeowners reclaim their spaces with customized, practical organization solutions.
Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
I first met my business partner, Marissa, when she was a client of Maid for Muddy Paws. She later became a client of PassionNEAT Organizing, and through working together, we realized we shared a strong vision for creating functional, well-designed spaces. With her degree from Texas A&M, extensive experience in construction, and background as a business owner, teaming up was a natural fit. Her expertise has been instrumental in expanding PassionNEAT, especially as we’ve incorporated interior design into our services. Together, we’re able to offer clients not just organization, but beautifully designed spaces that are both practical and aesthetically pleasing. Our partnership has opened many doors, allowing us to take PassionNEAT to the next level.
