We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Britt Jones a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Britt, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
The mission behind Covered was never just about launching a brand. It was about walking in obedience. For me, Covered was born out of a prayer. I felt a deep pull to create something that could merge my love for fashion with my unshakable faith. I’ve always believed that God shows up in the everyday. Through people, through moments, and yes, even through the things we wear.
Covered exists to be a reminder. A reminder that no matter what we’re facing, we are never walking alone. We’re covered – in grace, in protection, and in purpose. Every hat, every candle, every detail is created with intention to reflect that truth.
This mission is deeply personal because I’ve lived it. I’ve walked through seasons where I had to fully rely on God to cover me when nothing made sense. And now, being able to share that message with others, whether it’s through a product or a conversation it sparks, is the most meaningful part of it all.
Britt, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hi, I’m Britt Jones! Wife, mom of two, sales professional, and founder of Covered, a faith-based lifestyle brand rooted in purpose. My days are full, but every role I carry – whether it’s closing a deal in plastic surgery sales, packing orders for Covered, or chasing after my babies, stems from the same foundation: my faith and the calling I feel to show up with intention in everything I do.
I’ve always had a hustle in me. I work in plastic surgery sales, which is a fast-moving, competitive industry. I love the pace, the people, and the strategy. It’s taught me how to show up confidently and serve well. But even with the success I’ve found there, I knew God was calling me to create something more – something that merged my love for style with the message that’s carried me through every season: that we are covered by His love, His grace, and His protection.
That’s where Covered was born. It started with the “Testimony Trucker” – a hat that felt like a faith declaration and a fashion staple all in one. I wanted people to have something tangible they could wear or light (like our candles!) that reminded them of God’s presence in the everyday. A product that says, “you’re not alone”, without needing to say a word.
Everything I create is rooted in purpose and intentional design. But more than anything, I want people to feel the heart behind the brand. I want Covered to speak to the busy mom who needs a moment of peace, the young woman finding her way, the person in a hard season wondering if God is still near. (He is.)
What sets Covered apart is that it’s more than a brand. Covered is my testimony in motion. I’m proud of the message it carries and the community it’s building. I’m proud of the conversations it sparks. And I’m especially proud of doing all this while being a present wife and mama because those are my greatest callings of all.
If you’re just now finding me or Covered, my hope is that something here encourages you. Whether it’s through a product, a story, or even just a post, I pray it reminds you that God is working in your life, even in the smallest ways. You are seen. You are loved. You are Covered.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Honestly, the most effective strategy for growing my clientele – both in sales and with Covered, has been genuine connection. I show up as myself in every space I walk into. Whether I’m in a surgical consult or sending out a hat order, I believe people are drawn to authenticity. I don’t force the sale rather I focus on building trust and offering something of real value.
Word of mouth and personal referrals have been huge for me. People remember how you make them feel, and I think that’s what keeps them coming back. With Covered, every product tells a story. When someone wears a Testimony Trucker or lights a candle and shares how it impacted them, that message spreads far beyond what any ad could do. God’s been in the marketing strategy from day one.
Social media has also played a big role, but I don’t treat it like a highlight reel, I treat it like ministry. I use it to pour into others, share encouragement, and show the heart behind the brand. That consistency and realness have created a loyal, growing community.
At the end of the day, strategy matters, but obedience and heart have taken me further than any algorithm ever could.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
There was a week not too long ago that felt like everything hit at once. I had back-to-back meetings for my sales job, a pop-up event for Covered coming up, one of my kids was sick, and we had just entered a new season as a family that came with its own challenges. I remember sitting on the floor of my office late at night, candles and shipping labels all around me, wondering how I was going to get it all done. The weight of being everything for everyone – mom, wife, CEO, professional, all felt like too much.
But I took a deep breath, whispered a prayer, and reminded myself why I started all of this in the first place. Not to be perfect, but to be present. To walk in my calling and show up even when it’s hard.
That night, I packed every single order with tired eyes and a full heart. I got up the next morning, closed a deal in sales, packed my son’s lunch, showed up for my pop-up, and somehow still found the energy to crawl into bed and say, “Thank You, Lord, for carrying me through.”
That’s resilience. Not pushing through on your own strength, but allowing God to meet you in the chaos. Balancing sales, motherhood, marriage, and Covered isn’t always pretty. It’s real, it’s messy, but it’s covered in grace. And if I’ve learned anything, it’s that I don’t have to do it all perfectly. I just have to show up, stay faithful, and let God do the rest.
