We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Britney Jones a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Britney thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
The idea for Bestfriend in Faith was birthed out of both my personal pain and my deepest desire to see women fully healed and whole.
For years, I was the strong friend — the one everyone came to for advice, prayer, and encouragement — while silently navigating my own storms. I was walking through hidden battles with identity, purpose, and worth, all while leading in corporate spaces and showing up for others. There came a moment when I looked around and realized so many women, especially Black women, were silently carrying the same weight I was. We were leading, building, and showing up for everyone else, but there wasn’t a safe space for us to lay our burdens down and be poured back into.
That realization stirred something in me. I knew there had to be a better way — a space that went beyond just another church event or networking group. I envisioned a community where faith and friendship intersect, where women could heal, grow, and be equipped to walk boldly in their calling without shrinking to fit the room.
The name Bestfriend in Faith came from that very heart. I wanted every woman to feel like she had someone walking alongside her — not judging, not competing — but genuinely cheering her on. A Bestfriend who understood the power of both spiritual and practical tools for life.
When I started sharing the vision, the response was immediate and emotional. Women would say, “This is exactly what I’ve been praying for.” That’s when I knew this wasn’t just a good idea — it was a God idea.
What makes Bestfriend in Faith unique is that we don’t just host events or provide inspiration — we create transformative experiences. From our Whole Woman Wellness Summit to our coaching programs and daily community connection, we address the whole woman: mind, body, spirit, and purpose.
This work matters because too many women are leading from empty cups. We’re changing that narrative. And every time I see a woman walk out of one of our events standing taller, speaking louder, and shining brighter, I know this work is worth it.
At the core, this isn’t just a business — it’s a movement. It’s about breaking cycles of silence, shame, and self-doubt and replacing them with healing, clarity, and confidence.
That’s what excites me most — watching women become who they were always meant to be.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hi, I’m Britney T. Jones — a speaker, coach, lifestyle curator, and the founder of Bestfriend in Faith, a nonprofit community where faith, healing, and purpose collide.
My journey into this work started long before it became a business. For years, I was the one everyone came to for advice, prayer, and encouragement, all while silently battling my own struggles with identity, worth, and calling. I was navigating corporate America, building a career, and showing up for everyone else — but there was no safe space for me to simply be.
It was in those hidden seasons that I realized there were countless women just like me — women who are bold leaders, nurturing caregivers, and ambitious dreamers, yet silently running on empty. Too many of us were trying to lead from an empty cup, wearing a smile on the outside while wrestling with pain, burnout, and unanswered prayers on the inside.
That realization led me to create Bestfriend in Faith (BFF), not just as another organization, but as a movement. At BFF, we create transformative spaces where women can heal, grow, and be equipped to walk boldly in their purpose — mind, body, spirit, and beyond.
Through our signature events like the Whole Woman Wellness Summit, coaching programs like Built for This, and immersive faith experiences like the STILL Method, we help women stop shrinking, start building, and finally step into who they were always created to be.
What sets us apart is our holistic approach. We don’t just inspire women — we equip them. Every event, workshop, or piece of content is intentionally designed to address the whole woman. Whether that’s helping someone heal from past trauma, find clarity in her calling, or launch a purpose-driven business, our mission is to ensure no woman ever has to walk her journey alone.
I also express my passion through Jones & Home, where I merge interior design with storytelling, helping women create spaces that reflect their identity and lifestyle, and through my personal brand, where I blend faith, fashion, and leadership to inspire women to show up confidently in every area of their lives.
I’m most proud of the moments when I see women’s lives tangibly changed — when someone says, “This event saved me,” or “I finally feel seen and heard.” Those moments remind me why I do what I do.
If there’s one thing I want potential clients, followers, and supporters to know, it’s this:
I am not just building brands — I’m building bridges. Bridges that connect women back to themselves, to their faith, and to their purpose.
At the heart of my work is a simple belief: every woman deserves a safe space to heal, a clear path to grow, and the courage to shine without apology.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
One of the biggest lessons I had to unlearn was the belief that my value was tied to my performance.
For most of my life, I wore the title of “the strong friend” and “the go-to person.” Whether in corporate spaces, my personal life, or ministry, I thought I had to constantly do more, be more, and give more to prove I was worthy of love, respect, and opportunities.
I was thriving on the outside — climbing the corporate ladder, serving my community, showing up with a smile — but on the inside, I was exhausted and silently hurting. I thought rest was laziness and asking for help was weakness. I was wearing myself out trying to earn something I didn’t realize I already had: inherent value and worth.
The backstory of this unlearning began during one of the most hidden and difficult seasons of my life. I had just faced a series of disappointments — in my career, my health, and even my faith journey. I remember sitting in my office late one night after another long day and feeling completely depleted. It was like the roles, titles, and responsibilities I was juggling were all crumbling, and I was left wondering, “Who am I without all of this?”
In that still, quiet moment, I felt God speak to my heart: “You are loved for who you are, not for what you do.”
That single truth began to dismantle everything I thought I knew.
I started to see how much of my identity was built on proving myself — and how many other women were doing the exact same thing. That was a turning point for me, not only personally, but also in my work. It became the foundation of Bestfriend in Faith and my coaching framework, the STILL Method, which teaches women how to pause, surrender, and step boldly into who they are without feeling like they have to earn their place.
Unlearning this belief wasn’t easy. It meant setting boundaries, saying no, and learning to sit in silence without rushing to the next thing. But on the other side of that unlearning, I found freedom — and I now help other women find it, too.
The lesson I carry with me today is this:
Your worth isn’t in how much you produce — it’s in who you are at your core. And sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do is simply be still.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Resilience isn’t built in the moments when everything is going right — it’s forged in the seasons when nothing makes sense.
One of the most defining moments of my life came during a season when I felt completely unseen and overlooked. I was balancing a demanding corporate career while quietly wrestling with personal health challenges and the heartache of unfulfilled dreams. On the outside, I looked like I had it all together — the career, the titles, the smile — but on the inside, I was breaking.
There was one moment that changed everything for me. I had just experienced a major personal setback that left me questioning not only my future but my identity. I remember sitting alone, feeling like all the roles I played — leader, wife, friend, sister — were crumbling, and wondering, “Who am I if it all falls apart?”
In that moment of deep brokenness, I heard a quiet whisper in my spirit:
“You may feel hidden, but you are not forgotten.”
That truth became my lifeline. I realized that resilience isn’t about pretending you’re okay — it’s about facing the hard things head-on and choosing to get back up, even when you don’t know how the story will end.
Out of that hidden season, Bestfriend in Faith was born. I knew there were countless women, just like me, carrying silent battles while still showing up for everyone else. I wanted to create a space where they could heal, grow, and find the strength to walk boldly in purpose — even while they were still in the hallway waiting for the next door to open.
That’s what resilience looks like to me: taking your broken pieces and building something beautiful that empowers others.
Every time I see a woman at one of our events standing a little taller, speaking with more confidence, or simply exhaling because she finally feels seen, I’m reminded of that moment when I almost gave up.
Resilience is why I’m still here.
And it’s why I fight so hard to make sure no woman has to walk her journey alone.
