We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Britnee Scott. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Britnee below.
Britnee, appreciate you joining us today. One of the toughest things about progressing in your creative career is that there are almost always unexpected problems that come up – problems that you often can’t read about in advance, can’t prepare for, etc. Have you had such and experience and if so, can you tell us the story of one of those unexpected problems you’ve encountered?
As a creative on this journey you have ups and downs which can consist of a whole lot of things like frustration, finding a product with high quality, artist block. When creating you have this mindset that what you imagined or visualize will have a great outcome when you start to create it but it doesnt turn out the way you imagined.
Usually when this happens to me I realize that art has no definition of being perfect. There are times where you want to give up due to frustration but consistency and a change mindset can push you further to the next level.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
As a kid I have always been creative alongside being taught by my cousin, parents, and family. I come from a long line of creatives. I would sit in my room growing up drawing and doodling. As I got older my mother taught me how to hand sew and from there I instantly fell in love with creating.
I never gave up and continued to create more. I use a lot of acrylic paints from all sorts such as spray paint, fabric, and a lot more. I look at everything as a canvas such as household items, to clothing. Its always been my dream to make it to the runway. I am always proud of how determined and humble I am which pushes me to keep striving. Giving up isnt a option.
I want people to know that my brand Natrl Dzastah caters to people who are different. You think different, have a different approach towards life, and an all around unique person. Its a lifestyle for those who dont care to fit in and rather stand out.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
I had to unlearn that everyone you know wont always support you or agree with what your doing and thats okay. You have to continue to support and motivate yourself. Its vitally important to stay focus and not worry about naysayers and negativity.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I love networking and going out showing my face at the same time. I believe in advertising and marketing your gift through whatever opportunity or resource you have. You cant be in it for the money or the passion will fade away you have to give it your all or nothing. Go full throttle with a positive attitude.
