Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Brielle Gibson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Brielle thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
Hello, I am Brielle Gibson and I am a newly influencer/content creator. I took a risk and began consistently influencing in the summer of 2023. I started working at JusTini’s and my boss made a 30 day bet with my to post on the media consistently, no matter the content just post. I started posting everyday day no matter what It was, orders I bought, get ready with me’s, my food, even my shoes of the day ,all the way down to my target runs. I am a sore loser so I couldn’t let her win. My views went up tremendously and people from all over started following my page. In October ,I hosted my first networking event for my brand “DigitalBee”. This event was hosted to help fashion curators that live in the local area get to know one another and hopefully collaborate. This event was suppose to be 25 people RSVP but God had other plans and instead 80 people RSVP. “DigitalBee” was created after I noticed that I could make my dream my reality and after I sold out I knew I was on the right path.
“DigitalBee” is known for content creation, social media management, social event coordination and style consults. All of these things are apart of who I am and how I live my life day to day. As the weeks went by I started to get random dm’s and emails from company’s reaching out to me about making content using their products. Taking a risk helped me see that my dream of creating content was not too far to reach for it is very possible and you may not think that people will notice you but you never know who is watching you or who’s page you will come across. TAKE THE RISK!

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
For many who know me they know how I feel about my craft and my mission to make my dream my reality. I put myself into the influencing industry by being myself. Since I was younger I’ve always wore what I thought was swag regardless of how anyone thought about it because in the end I always received compliments. Randomly, during 2020 I started making content but I never would post it because I would compare them to other videos I’ve seen but I took the risk and posted. My content is made for style, beauty, lifestyle in your everyday life (“DigitalBee”). Throughout my life I have always felt like I was confident in myself, I never questioned or felt insecure about being myself. As Prime would say “don’t let my confidence offend you’re insecurities”. Many people contact me with hopes that I can help find places for them to shop or style them for an occasion. When I first got into styling consultations it was very difficult for me because styling to me means creating a vision for you that the stylist think fits you, not what you want to wear and the stylist putting the outfit together. Now, in present day for my clients we talk , they tell me there wants and I send back a mood board with concepts of looks they can choose from to help give us both a better understanding.
Clothes define who you are, the way you dress can help a person know a little bit about you. The fashion I wear emphasizes who I am which helps me set apart from others. I am brown skin, 4’11 girl who loves baggy clothes and sunglasses, so in my opinion my style matches my personality. Being 23years old , starting “DigitalBee” and receiving the opportunities that I am receiving is a blessing. I am so so so proud of myself for taking the risk! Having faith in yourself when people around you may not is a very hard task. I took the risk and everything after started to fall into place. “DigitalBee” has networked so many company’s in so little time I cannot wait to see what she is doing five years from now. “DigitalBee” is my brand made for all the things I contribute to I want people to feel comfortable reaching out to me, I am always open to help or answer a question.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
In my opinion the best part about being a creative is when other people see what you created and they are in love with it. Helping a client feel good about themselves makes me feel good about myself. Seeing your ideas come to life is mind blowing because sometimes you even doubt your own capabilities. Fashion styling is a fiercely competitive field, you’ll need confidence, determination and drive to succeed, but with this also comes great opportunities for professional growth and development.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Social media for business gives your customers a way to connect with you and keep current with what you’re doing. It allows you to engage with your customers and build relationships with them. By interacting with them through social media, you get to know them better by seeing what they like and what they want, as well as what they don’t like and don’t want. It also gives you an additional outlet through which to offer them deals and special promotions they may not have been aware of otherwise. Your goal should be to build a strong brand first before making all things available to all people.
An unspoken rule of using social media for business is that as others follow you and like or share your content, you should do the same for them. Call it good karma! After all, you can’t expect others to share your content if you don’t share theirs. Take some time to share the content of those you find to be great influencers and who would benefit from your sharing their content.
