We were lucky to catch up with Brieanna Conway recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Brieanna, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.

Honestly , I created my brand because I wanted to give others what I never received growing up. I definitely was solving a problem no one else was solving . I always wanted to try therapy or counseling growing up . I always wanted to try be apart of a group of like minded people. I always loved the idea of wearing and spreading more awareness about Mental Healing . So I created all of my wants & needs into The Mhm Collection . And I couldn’t be more proud of the impact I have had thus far.

The MHM Collection (Mental Healing Matters ) was created in 2019 by the CEO Brieanna Aubrey . This collection is all about spreading more awareness on all things mental health while helping & uplifting others. This brand is not only a loungewear line but it also provides resources for people to use such as Certified Life coaching that is now accepting individuals & couples offered by the owner. The collection also offers a Mental Health connect group where individuals can come together to connect , heal , vent & advise each other . So not your typical clothing line. We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

Yes , so honestly with any business you have especially an upcoming small business there will be a lot of ups & downs . For example my peak season for my loungewear is the winter time . So the rest of the year is a bit slow finically in terms of loungewear. But I just released the summer collection this year so I’m hoping moving forward the collection is able to establish peak season year round ! That is just one of many hurdles but it has all been worth it and I just can’t wait for you guys to see what’s coming next :)

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

I definitely had to unlearn not being patient . In order to have a successful business you have to wait till it’s your time . Keep working hard , keep being intentional & most importantly keep your faith . And everything will work out in due time . So I always remind myself to be patient & enjoy the process .
