Alright, Brie thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Being a business owner can be really hard sometimes. It’s rewarding, but most business owners we’ve spoken sometimes think about what it would have been like to have had a regular job instead. Have you ever wondered that yourself? Maybe you can talk to us about a time when you felt this way?

I love being a business owner yes! I love having the flexibility to make my own schedule, but there have been some days especially when months are slow, when the stress of having your own business has been at a high, I’ve thought about closing this chapter and getting a job that has secured income. Covid and the unknowns the last couple years have brought to our industry has been hard, but I truly have the most supportive and loyal clients who have stuck by my side and continue to support this brand we’re building. I’m proud that I’ve continued to persevere and look forward to all the amazing things to come!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Hi there! I’m Brie, the founder of Päsh Skin Studio. My passion for skin care started nearly a decade ago while studying abroad in Europe. After graduating here in California, I took the big leap and started my entrepreneurial journey in 2012.

Like most startups, Päsh Skin Studio started small. In those early days I learned a lot about running a business, but those lessons allowed me to grow my craft and offer custom and personal skin care treatments to clients.

As my studio began to grow, I honed in on the concept of luxury skin, something I wholeheartedly believe is attainable for everyone with the right blend of top-quality products and customized skin care treatments.

Before moving to San Diego, Päsh Skin Studio was awarded Temecula’s “Facial Spa of the Year” in 2014 and 2015. Over the last several years, we are very proud of all the perfect 5-star reviews we have received because each one represents someone we’ve been able to help in an impactful and meaningful way.

I currently live in San Diego with my family & I look forward to working with so many of you to deliver lasting, satisfying and luxurious skin care results

Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?

Jordan is my business partner! She’s been such an influential part of growing PASH. Believe it or not, she was a client of mine! There was an issue with our online scheduling which caused me to be 45 minutes late to her first appointment! I had no idea she was waiting! I joke now and say good thing I didn’t walk in 46 minutes late, or maybe we wouldn’t be here! She’s amazing & I couldn’t do this without her. She is such a talented aesthetician and business women. If anyone gets the privilege to meet her they will know exactly what I’m talking about.

Do you have any stories of times when you almost missed payroll or any other near death experiences for your business?

Yes! In Dec of 2018 we had a big rain storm here in SD. I had parked my car at the base of a street and went to dinner with a friend. Within an hour we got a call that the drains to that street were blocked and my car was under water. Earlier that day I had done a mobile facial so my Hydrafacial machine was still in my vehicle. Once the street drained my car was an immediate total as was my machine! Huge bummer and insurance wouldn’t help! YIKES.
