Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Brie Fowler is a third-generation Realtor. Her grandfather founded Fowler Real Estate in Boulder, Colorado, in the ’60s and passed it down to Brie’s father. Now, she’s taken the reins and is steering the business to new heights and new horizons, building and fostering relationships with clients, colleagues, and the community.
Brie worked for 16 years as a nurse before getting involved in the family business. Years of experience helping those in need and working through difficult situations have given Brie a unique insight into how to approach different clients and address their diverse needs.
As a testament to Brie’s exceptional aptitude for real estate, in 2021 alone, she was hailed #1 Agent of the Year in Colorado by Rate My Agent; Top 5% Realtor® Nationwide by Google and Homesnap; and Top 4% Worldwide at Coldwell Banker Realty. Brie specializes in listing homes and working with sellers. She has extensive experience with property staging to ensure her clients get top dollar for their homes. Her incredible team is known for making the entire house buying and selling process as smooth and seamless as possible for her clients, establishing them as some of the most sought-after real estate experts in their market.
When not busy working with real estate clients, Brie is deeply engaged in community service with her online platform – Experience Erie – where she highlights local businesses and events through Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube.
Any fun sales or marketing stories?
A homeowner emailed me, saying she was thinking about hiring a “discount broker” at a low fee but she didn’t know if the Realtor she chose was the right fit. She said that she looked me up on Google, read my reviews, and was second guessing her decision. She wanted to hire a Realtor who specializes in the area and had authentic testimonials. I told the homeowner that I can understand why paying a minimal fee sounds enticing, but the return on investment for using a Realtor who includes staging, professional photos and videography, and has a social media presence would most likely pay off in the long run. Saving 1-2% could be $6,000-$12,000, but my list price was significantly higher than the other Realtor’s analysis. After I priced her home $50,000 higher than she was originally quoted, I ended up selling her home for $130,000 over the asking price. I almost didn’t get the listing because I’m not a discount broker, but the seller was happy that she went with me because saving 1-2% could have lost her $$$$$$.
Any fun sales or marketing stories?
When I got into real estate 6 years ago, custom property videos were looked at as overkill and not many Realtors chose to use video in their marketing strategy. Yes, it’s expensive to provide, but I love telling stories through video. Not only “what it feels like” to live in the home, but showing clips of surrounding areas and helping the buyer get a better understanding of the neighborhood and/or community. Once COVID hit, I had my videographers lined up and was able to sell homes “site unseen” through video. Many Realtors were calling me, asking me how I use video to sell homes and who to call for help.
