We were lucky to catch up with Bridgitte Jackson-Buckley recently and have shared our conversation below.
Bridgitte, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today If you had a defining moment that you feel really changed the trajectory of your career, we’d love to hear the story and details.
Channeling is not something I intended to do. It was not a part of my plan to share in a public way. It was something I intended to remain a quietly kept secret. For years, I’ve read, watched and listened to channeled material as a source of encouragement and guidance during challenging times.
It was in 2005 when my spiritual practice unknowingly took root, during a very difficult time in my life, when I began to meditate out of desperation to find relief from mental and emotional suffering. I felt lost, unsure of what to do and how to navigate challenges I faced. Being an avid reader, I read many books on spiritual growth and personal transformation and noticed a consistent thread throughout the books – the recommendation to meditate and ask for guidance. I began to meditate and found the practice of going within, quieting my mind and listening still to be a tremendous help.
With time, meditation became a source of retreat and support as well as a gateway for personal guidance.
My practice was to meditate in silence, pose a question for guidance and write down what came through. In this practice, I received answers in the form of a loving energy that relayed telepathic messages on the left side of my head. Although, some might have considered this channeling or automatic writing, I did not. I viewed it as a literal interpretation of what I did: I connected with a higher aspect of myself and wrote down what came through.
In my plight to have a deeper and more profound experience of spirituality, I read more than 100 books. However, it wasn’t until years later when I found A Course in Miracles when my life began to change in an unexpected way.

Bridgitte, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am the author of two books, The Gift of Crisis and the forthcoming channeled text The Visioneers’ Handbook.
As a passionate and dedicated student of A Course in Miracles, I am committed to spiritual healing, self-awareness and conscious transformation. Through deep meditation, extensive spiritual study, automatic writing and sincere intention, I have spent the last two decades cultivating and strengthening my connection to the Divine. As a channeler, I serve as a conduit for my spirit guides and teachers, allowing them to communicate divine energy and wisdom through me.
As an only child for 16 years, I loved to read beyond my skill level. I always carried a pocket dictionary while reading Stephen King novels. Displaying a natural talent for writing during my youth, I’ve been writing in journals since I was in the fourth grade. During college, I moved away from writing to pursue a “practical and safe” career in medicine.
Several years later, and after a variety of occupations, I returned to my first love – writing – and quickly became known for in-depth articles on leading New Thought luminaries such as: Eckhart Tolle, Iyanla Vanzant, Deepak Chopra, Radhanath Swami, Elizabeth Gilbert, Penney Peirce, Elizabeth Lesser, Paul Selig, Marie Forleo, and several others including American singer, songwriter and guitarist Trevor Hall.
I’ve written online articles for Examiner, Tiny Buddha, Recreate Your Life Story, Medium, Patheos, Thrive Global and Unity Magazine.
I was the lead writer to launch Oprah Winfrey Network’s Super Soul Sunday website, the 21-Day Become What You Believe Meditation and Seven Days to Restful Sleep for ‘Oprah & Deepak’s Guide to Whole Health’ in addition to various articles for Super Soul Sessions I-III.
With a writing focus that includes spirituality and conscious transformation, my writing unexpectedly draws readers inward by conveying complex spiritual concepts in a practical and accessible style.
My educational background includes a B.A. degree in psychology from the University of California, Berkeley and the United States Peace Corps, both which have given me a broad base from which to approach many topics.
I reside in California, with my husband, Dennis, and our children. I am the founder and owner of Little Visioneers, an online independent bookstore dedicated to books by women.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
In studying A Course in Miracles and going within, I came to understand how the mind contributes to a less-than-ideal life. It brought to my attention the ways I kept myself small, sabotaged, attached to fear and mentally and emotionally out of alignment with love.
In doing the daily lessons, I participated in a consistent practice to undo what I thought I knew. This cleared the way for a new way of seeing and experiencing the world, and for new, high vibrational information to come into my awareness.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I have had to work through my fear to share a part of myself I never intended to share. At the same time, I’ve come to understand if I’m having this experience, it is mine to have or at least mine to choose to have. It is my choice to move forward in trust or to remain in fear.
We are all here to authentically, inevitably and sincerely share the best of who and what we are.
