Bridget , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Parents play a huge role in our development as youngsters and sometimes that impact follows us into adulthood and into our lives and careers. Looking back, what’s something you think you parents did right?
There are two ways to judge success, one of my favorite quotes comes from Bessie Anderson Stanley’s observation that, “He has achieved success who has lived well, laughed often, and loved much” and my parent’s own idea of success “Success comes from being happy and having fulfillment in what you do with your life”.
I believe that my parent’s teachings and wisdom throughout the years have been the biggest impact when it comes to my life and my career. I have always believed they have done right by teaching me the idea of entrepreneurial independence by always encouraging me to follow my heart and do the things that make me happy and make me feel fulfilled. I think more people should take a step back and question if what they are doing truly makes them happy, or if they’re only doing it for monetary gain.
Bridget , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Bridget Schraeder and I am the Chief Executive Officer of Schraeder Amores Consulting. I am a 28-year-old Ecuadorian/American currently residing in the beautiful state of Florida. I have been involved in recruitment, business development, networking, and marketing for the past seven years and I truly enjoy what I do.
I founded my company based on the observation of numerous start-ups and small businesses encountering failure as a result of inadequate planning and organization. I have a steadfast commitment to supporting small businesses and start-ups operating within the petroleum, tech, and creative industries. My primary objective is to assist these businesses in achieving their goals through our comprehensive services. My company’s expertise lies in strategic marketing, business development, and recruitment, enabling us to support other companies in achieving their growth objectives.
My proudest moment so far is being able to acquire 4 clients within six months of starting my business, and am now operating with over 6 clients in two different continents including the United States and South America. If there is anything I would want potential clients to know about me, is that my highly-developed networking skills are what truly sets me apart from others. My confidence and tenacity are truly what help deliver my client’s goals.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Word of mouth!
It has been the best way I have sourced clients as it really helps a business’s reputation and brand grow.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
My networking skills.
I know I have emphasized this in the previous answer I gave, but I would like to emphasize it again. I believe more and more people nowadays are not developing the networking skills that it takes to truly connect with the right people to help grow their own businesses. Networking can take you a long way in building your own reputation and brand and I believe more people should take their networking skills more seriously.
