We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Bridget Jenkins. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Bridget below.
Hi Bridget, thanks for joining us today. Almost all entrepreneurs have had to decide whether to start now or later? There are always pros and cons for waiting and so we’d love to hear what you think about your decision in retrospect. If you could go back in time, would you have started your business sooner, later or at the exact time you started?
If I could go back in time, I wish I would have started my business sooner. I started my business back during the Pandemic in April of 2021. I was unemployed Career wise because of the Pandemic, before the Pandemic I was working at a Daycare. I believe if I would have started sooner in my business, I wouldn’t had to get back into the working world due to my business start running slow! I will be a lot further on the business world aspect.
Bridget, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Bridget Jenkins! I was born in West Palm, FL. I have two handsome boys that I love dearly! How I got into the business with selling Fedoras and creating custom charm bracelets because I love jewelry and fashion! The type of products that I sell are custom charm bracelets for little girls and women. I also sell Fedora hats for men and women! I really don’t have too many problems with any of my customers, but if I do its mainly the adjusting of the bracelets or swapping out certain charms on the bracelet. What sets me apart from other jewelry seller is I custom my charm bracelets to the customers liking! The most thing that I am proud of in my business is being able to have continue customers! The things that I want for my business is more followers on my social media, receive more customers, and draw more customers to my website!
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
How I built my audience on social media is staying consistent! And what I mean by that is posting content and making content daily of my products!
Do you sell on your site, or do you use a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc?
Yes I do sell on my website, but I also sell my products on Etsy, Offerup, Tiktok Shop, and Shopfiy! The pros are getting the notification that a customer purchased my products. The cons is not getting consistent sales!
