Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Bridget Edkin. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Bridget, thanks for joining us today. We love heartwarming stories – do you have a heartwarming story from your career to share?
One of the reasons we love what we do is the miraculous healing that happens when kids start chiropractic care. We have cared for many amazing kids, but my favorite story is about an eight-year-old boy with Autism. He was non-verbal and not potty trained. There was a lot more going on, but those were the things his wonderful mom wanted our help with. Through many months of care, it seemed we were only making short progress. One day, his mother said goodnight and I love you to him as she always did every night. Only this time, he responded, “I love you too,” for the first time in his ENTIRE life. Imagine being a mother and never hearing your child say I love you. It’s unreal. We love seeing kids, and seeing their relationship with their parents blossom as they get healthier and clear through chiropractic care.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Whether you’re struggling to conceive, facing challenges during pregnancy, or confronting developmental issues with a newborn, we will work with you to identify the underlying sources of your problems utilizing the Gonstead Chiropractic technique.
I am a third-generation chiropractor, and my husband and I are the ninth and tenth chiropractors in that lineage. We are passionate about serving people and changing lives through our technique. As neurologically focused chiropractors, we look to the spine for the cause of what ails the many people who choose to come into our office. Every part of your body reacts and responds to the environment through your brain and nervous system. Therefore, we see people heal from many different ailments when we clear their nervous system of subluxation.
We have created an office that serves families. From preconception through adolescence, we want to be a part of your family achieving the health God intended for you. We opened right out of school in beautiful Jacksonville Beach. We are passionate about the community surrounding our family being the healthiest and most vibrant they can be.
This generation of children is the sickest that has ever existed in American history. Most of the research points to these children not surviving their parents. We want to be a beacon to those parents who won’t accept that their child is just stuck this way or with this diagnosis. We are education and research-focused. We spend time with our parents to answer their questions, and we take the time to prepare our pregnant moms to have a successful postpartum experience. We won’t get these days back with our babies, and if we can spend less time sick and at doctor’s appointments and more time with our family, that makes our hearts tick.
Many times in our consults people share with us that they have tried everything, or that the medical system has just dismissed them to suffer. They then find that our care can address the root cause of their chief complaint. We do not accept that kids will just “grow out of it” or that when hoping to conceive, “just stop trying” is the answer. We listen when a mom tells us something just “isn’t right ” with their baby. We listen when people cry out for hope.
We stand for a world where people do accept that their life is going to be filled with pain/discomfort/or a diagnosis given to the.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
We have done many different strategies when it comes to marketing for new clients. Word of mouth, of course, is always the most powerful way to do this, and the amount of referrals for our office speaks volumes about this. Results gain referrals, and 50% of our new clientele is referrals.
Secondly, our Instagram is the most fruitful investment of time and resources. We provide a large amount of educational and fun content there. We receive a ton of positive feedback from our profile. Our ideal client uses Instagram far more than Facebook. Our strategy is to engage and educate.
Any advice for managing a team?
We believe that a loved team can love our clients well. If you read our google reviews most of them share how at-home people feel in our office. As the providers, we do not get as much time with our wonderful practice members as our team, and they give the office that homey feel.
We have weekly team meetings so that we are all on the same page. We regularly celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and other fun days. We take them to our conferences and include them in our yearly vision cast. A vision cast is when we sit down and plan and dream for the next year every November.
