We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Brianne Garcia. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Brianne below.
Hi Brianne, thanks for joining us today. Do you take vacations? Why or why not?
It had taken me many years to feel comfortable about taking vacations! Yes, I now schedule vacations for me & my family. It has become a priority! For many years I use to fear taking time away & not being available for clients. After working in this industry for 18 years, I need to be able to enjoy life as well. Recharge, disconnect & give myself the self-care & family bonding time. Relationships are just as important as work!

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
How did I get into the industry? I was ready to start a career. I had changed my major several times and even went to different community collages trying to figure out what I wanted to do. I tried everything I through I would like. I didn’t seem like anything. I was frustrated. I did not want to spend years of schooling taking classes I hated. I wanted something hands on, interactive. I wanted to find a career I could work with people, help people. Those were my passions. I wanted to find a career that I would enjoy doing. I did not want to give up until I found something I would love doing. At the time I had no idea about trade schools. A friend of mine had shared with me she was going to a trade school instead of a university after community college. That was it! I knew that was exactly what I needed! Except, what type of trade? I had no clue what my options were. My aunt helped me a lot! She suggested I should go to esthetician school.l because I was always into make-up. I knew then, that was perfect for me! I loved applying make-up since I was 2 years old. The idea of learning about skin care and waxing sounded exciting! I was nervous at first taking out student loans & unsure if I would like it or of the outcome would be like everything else I tried. To my surprise while going through my esthetics education. I found my passion, my love. I knew that this is what I was meant to do! Learning about the physiology of the skin & how intricate it is was so fascinating. Learning in depth knowledge of how to create healthy skin & treat skin conditions was so fascinating to me! Learning about skin care at the cellular level was mind blowing!
What I provide for my clients is what I would do on my own skin. I love problem solving & digging deep to discover what each client’s skin needs. What sets me apart is I customize services to each client’s individual needs & desired results. Everyone’s skin is unique and your skim care should he too! I use top of the line quality products to deliver advanced results! It has always been a priority to me to deliver advance results! I love seeing my client’s skin transform! My services are not basic! They are results driven for client’s how want to get the most value for their skin!

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Early on I worked under a doctor in a Medical Spa. This is where I really learned a lot. I developed my passion for corrective skin care. After that I spent 10 years working for some of the best spas in San Diego including W Hotel, US Grant, Hard Rock & Marriot. I was exposed to a variety of on going advanced training to fine tune & develop my skills. Working under big companies really helped give credibility to my services. It was very rewarding getting feed back from athletes, celebrities & business people who traveled the world were impressed with my services.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Early on in my career I wanted to work for very reputable spas. I was fortunate to have been given some amazing opportunities that help me get started! When I was a new Esthetician I worked under a Physician in a Medical Spa. I learned a lot. This was where i developed my passion for corrective facial services. I found my niche customized corrective chemical peels. From there since I was so knowledgeable in chemical peels that lead me to my first big Spa Job. The Away Spa in the W Hotel. My Hard work gave me a lot of exposure. I was fortunate to have been trained by some of the best in the industry. I went on to work for other 5 star high end destination spas in San Diego. I served professional athletes, celebrities and other VIP clients. Because of my work ethic Celebrity & VIP clients were booked with me to ensure too notch 5 star service. My hard work, great reviews helped build my reputation within the spa world.
