Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Brianna Woods. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Brianna thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Are you happier as a business owner? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job?
Being a business owner is a love hate relationship, especially when you originally start off as a creative and choose to monetize your passion later down the line.
Do I ever wonder what it would be like to have a normal job again? I don’t think there’s any mystery there..so I would say no.
I think the things you end up really wanting are to detach from perfectionism gained from wanting a dream to succeed & constantly making yourself available whether through social media or verbal/physical interactions. These things are the “business” side of an operation and draw your attention away from pure inspiration and passion, in my opinion.
I constantly struggle when it comes to thinking about pleasing the masses & growing what I’ve built but I am quickly reminded that I have a brand on my hands. My Essance is fully intertwined in everything I do & although I provide a valuable service my personality and passion radiate and that’s what I believe keeps my audience engaged.
I hope to continue finding ways to elevate my brand and bring more passion to my life as well as others.

Brianna, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I would categorize myself as a Chef but after a very long pandemic I’ve also transcended into being a social media content creator. I’ve studied culinary and worked in the industry since 2009 & started my business in 2019 (officially) – as far as content creation I started doing brand collaborations in 2021.
My physical services range from private chef services, custom herbs & spices, catering, all the way down to meal preparation.
My virtual services are recipe creation, paid promotion, food photography & food styling.
What do I think sets me apart from others? My range & knowledge in the kitchen for sure.
Continuing to advance my knowledge & dive into the many different facets of culinary is not something I see many doing anymore. And my range is also what I’m most proud of..there isn’t a thing I’ve wanted to do in this industry that I have haven’t pursed and I want to continue to remain inspired.
My main content is on pause due to me really learning nutritional information to advance my clients on their fitness journeys as well as my own but I want my audience to know that my platform isn’t one size fits all. Some days you may love it some days it may not be your cup of tea – but I’m constantly evolving as will my brand and interest and that’s what makes it fun!

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I believe my audience is filled with people from different walks of life and it’s hard to say what keeps them. Some of my kindest followers don’t like being in the kitchen but they get a sense of joy and relaxation from my adventures and challenges attempted in the kitchen.
With that being said, be yourself authentically. You become magnetic pouring pure unfiltered energy into the things you love…there aren’t many times you see someone out enjoying themselves doing something harmless and feel disgusted.
Fear of perception is a concept a lot of us struggle with but the only way to avoid criticism is to do nothing.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I really had to unlearn the thought that I wasn’t “special” although it is true that anyone can do the things they put their mind to, you soon come to terms with the fact that just because someone can doesn’t mean they will. I had to stop down playing my major accomplishments as things that anyone could do. It lead to a ton of imposter syndrome and not taking in special moments.
Everyone is given opportunity, but a very small percentage will seize those opportunities. Everyone is talented but your own unique spin on things can’t always be replicated. It’s okay to be special, advance, talented, different. One of one. It’s okay to shine.
