We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Brianna Ward a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Brianna thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
The boldest leap I ever took was walking away from my 15-year career to fully embrace the roles of a stay-at-home mom and entrepreneur. It wasn’t a decision I made lightly—leaving behind the stability of a steady paycheck, the familiarity of my routine, and the identity I had built over the years was terrifying.
At the time, I felt an undeniable pull toward something greater. My passion for helping women break free from people-pleasing, heal from past wounds, and step into their power had grown too strong to ignore. I knew that if I wanted to truly make an impact, I had to give my full energy to my life coaching business.
Of course, there were fears—what if I failed? What if the financial pressure became overwhelming? But deep down, I believed in my vision. I trusted that by taking this step, I was not only creating a better future for myself but also setting an example for my children about courage, purpose, and resilience.
The journey has been anything but easy. There have been struggles, moments of doubt, and financial challenges. But there has also been incredible growth, newfound freedom, and the deep fulfillment of watching women transform their lives through my coaching. Looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing. The risk was great, but the reward—living in alignment with my purpose—has been even greater.

Brianna , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Bri Ward, and I am the founder of Unbreakable You, a life coaching brand dedicated to helping women heal from rejection, abandonment, and people-pleasing so they can step into their power, embrace self-worth, and create a life that truly fulfills them. I’m also a wife and mother of four, so I understand firsthand the challenges of balancing family, personal growth, and the journey to self-discovery.
My journey into this work wasn’t just professional—it was personal. For years, I struggled with low self-esteem, limiting beliefs, and the exhausting habit of prioritizing everyone else’s needs over my own. I know firsthand how damaging it is to live seeking external validation while feeling completely lost inside. My turning point came when I realized that healing isn’t about waiting for someone else to save you—it’s about doing the deep inner work to reclaim your identity, build resilience, and redefine success on your own terms.
That realization led me to dive into mindset shifts, personal growth, and emotional healing—not just for myself, but so I could guide other women through the same transformation. Today, through Unbreakable You, I offer life coaching, workshops, presentations, eBooks, and journals designed to empower women to break free from the cycles of self-doubt and people-pleasing. My services help women establish non-negotiables, set boundaries, embrace self-forgiveness, and develop an unstoppable mindset.
What truly sets Unbreakable You apart is the belief that healing requires you to be selfish—and that’s not a bad thing. Too often, women are conditioned to put everyone else first, leaving themselves drained, unfulfilled, and disconnected from their true purpose. My approach teaches that being “selfish” isn’t about neglecting others—it’s about prioritizing your own healing, growth, and happiness so you can show up as the best version of yourself. When you stop pouring from an empty cup and start setting firm boundaries, you don’t just transform your life—you inspire those around you to do the same.
I don’t just offer surface-level motivation. My coaching is direct, deep, and designed to create lasting change. I challenge my clients to confront the root causes of their struggles, push past their fears, and take radical action toward the life they deserve. My programs include intensive mindset work, exercises, and journal prompts that force women to dig deeper and truly transform.
One of my proudest moments has been watching my clients shift from feeling stuck and unworthy to walking in confidence, making bold decisions, and finally prioritizing themselves without guilt. Seeing women reclaim their power, set boundaries, and step into their purpose fuels everything I do.
To those who come across my work, I want you to know that healing and growth are possible. You don’t have to stay in cycles of self-sacrifice, guilt, or fear. You have the power to rewrite your story. My mission is to help you break free from the limitations holding you back and step into the unbreakable, unstoppable version of yourself that you were always meant to be.

Have you ever had to pivot?
One of the biggest pivots I had to make in my business came when I realized that my original approach to life coaching wasn’t fully connecting with the women I truly wanted to serve. When I first started, I focused on general personal development and mindset shifts, believing that if I helped people with confidence and goal-setting, everything else would fall into place. But over time, I noticed a pattern—many of the women coming to me weren’t just struggling with confidence; they were carrying deep wounds from rejection, abandonment, and years of people-pleasing.
I had to take a step back and reevaluate my mission. Was I really helping women at the core of their struggles, or was I only addressing surface-level issues? That’s when I made the decision to pivot and center Unbreakable You around deep inner healing—specifically helping women heal from the emotional wounds that were keeping them stuck. This meant shifting my messaging, refining my offers, and creating programs that went beyond motivation and into real transformation.
One of the biggest changes was how I approached self-care and boundaries. I realized that the key to true healing is embracing selfishness—not in a negative way, but in a way that allows women to prioritize their own well-being without guilt. I started incorporating this message into my coaching, workshops, and even the products I created, such as my journals and eBooks.
That pivot changed everything. My message became clearer, my audience became more engaged, and the results my clients experienced became even more powerful. Women started coming to me, not just for mindset shifts, but because they were ready to break free from people-pleasing, redefine their worth, and build a life on their terms.
Looking back, I see that pivot as a turning point. It reinforced the idea that business is about listening—to your audience, to yourself, and to what truly feels aligned. I had to let go of my initial vision to embrace something deeper, and in doing so, Unbreakable You became a brand that stands for radical healing, self-worth, and the power of putting yourself first.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Building a business from the ground up, while also managing a household with four kids, tested me in every way imaginable. I had to learn how to balance my roles as a wife, mother, and entrepreneur while still prioritizing my own healing and growth.
One of the toughest moments came when I launched my first challenge, and the response wasn’t what I expected. I had poured my heart into creating something transformational, but the sign-ups were slow. It would have been easy to see it as a failure, to retreat, and to convince myself that maybe this wasn’t meant for me. But instead, I saw it as a lesson. I refined my approach, adjusted my messaging, and pushed forward with even more determination.
That resilience paid off. Over time, Unbreakable You started reaching the right women—women who were tired of feeling stuck, who were ready to heal, and who needed the exact message I was bringing. The challenges, the workshops, the journals, and the coaching all started making a real difference. And through it all, I learned that resilience isn’t just about pushing through obstacles—it’s about adapting, growing, and believing in your mission even when things don’t go as planned.
This journey has taught me that success isn’t about never failing—it’s about how you respond when things get tough. Resilience is choosing to keep going, even when the path feels uncertain. And that’s exactly what I teach the women I work with—how to stand firm in their worth, push past their fears, and build a life they refuse to give up on.
