We were lucky to catch up with Brianna Seiber recently and have shared our conversation below.
Brianna, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
Brianna Seiber in the Band: A long way Back
Music is absolutely a part of who I am. I have sang since I could talk,.. so I am told. My parents have videos of me putting on concerts and singing to my karaoke machine when I was young, though, my first performance was at my 5th grade talent show. I performed the song Skyfall, by Adele. This is when I knew I wanted to sing. I would beg my parents to sign me up for “The Voice” or “America got talent” though, I was too young. Then, we learned about Dream night talent search coming to my hometown and I was able to enter. I made the top ten! When I reached 13, I made my dream of auditioning a reality and headed to Chicago to audition for the show “The Voice”, I received a call back and traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana to perform in the studio. Sadly, this is where the dream ended. I don’t think I will try out again, though, I would love being on the show.
I continued Singing at local bars and restaurants then I decided to dedicate my time to writing and recording music.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
After taking time to write and record music, I released my first single, “Surrender” though, I had no way to perform it live, unless I paid a band as a back-up or sang along to a Karaoke version of the song. Both of those options did not seem to fit me. This is when I knew I did not want to be a solo artist. I teamed up with Logan Bryan, guitarist and we took our acoustic performance to local fairs, bars and restaurants. It was a great opportunity to get our name in the industry. We knew we wanted more out of this career. We did not want to copy the amazing music created by others. We wanted to create our own music and our own sound. So we began the search of creating a band. Forming a band is not easy in the small town I grew up in! You just don’t find local people that are drummers or guitarist wanting to start a band. The search had to be expanded out through multiple cities. It took us a couple of years to get the perfect blend of talent, personalities and goals. But “WOW”, we have found our group. Logan remains the lead guitarist, Anabelle Hedrick is our incredibly talented (Second female in the band) drummer. We call the three of us, “The Founders” as the bassist and rhythm guitarist have come in and out of the band until Brian Guizar joined. He brings so much creativity and ambition, and Owen is our newest bass player and he brings extreme talent and energy . It was an instant family as we all connected musically.
Creating together has been an amazing experience. Being a random band new to the music scene, I did not know how the audience would respond to us. But, I could not be more thankful to the people we have met along the way. The love and support has been incredible and surreal.
We are a grunge inspired pop punk band. We have created a trilogy of music, in which we have released the first. This music focuses on relationships. The second will be released in July of 2023 that depicts the pain of broken relationships and the third, we are currently working on is the strength of moving on from relationships. We are very proud of this work.
We play a great deal of our music at Warehouse in Lacrosse, Wisconsin. Steve is amazing. This venue is a must see! The atmosphere, professionalism and uniqueness is top notch! The architectural design, history, and fact that performers such as Nine inch nails, My Chemical Romance and Everclear and many others have been on that stage-is thrilling! We are just so thankful to perform there.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding part of being an artist is the audience and the fan base. It is great seeing their faces at our shows and supporting us. I also love when my music is on somebodies playlist and I walk by in a club or event and it is playing. It is like-“hey, that is me!” That is the absolute best feeling. It is also rewarding when someone relates to the song and they can share why the music touched them. Since our music is so incredibly personal to each of us, it is great to see others have such an impact from our lyrics.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Our goal is to keep building our audience and increase our opportunities to perform. Perhaps work on a tour. We are currently working with Joel Tock. He is producing our next release. We also signed with, “From the Depths Entertainment”, so we are excited to see how they will impact our journey. Mostly, we are just going to keep enjoying what we are doing. All of our music can be found on all streaming platforms under ” A long Way Back”. We would appreciate everyone downloading and possibly sharing our music. We also thank Canvas Rebel for wanting to write a story about us! We are just so appreciative and thankful to so many.
