We recently connected with Brianna Ludlow and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Brianna thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you share a customer success story with us?
A huge part of what my business is about – is making others feel comfortable. I’ve helped a variety of customers from elderly to the stay at home mother who was just overwhelmed. One of my most successful and meaningful ventures was helping a mother. Not only did she have three children under the age of three years old but was attending school and running a business. I had been struggling with moving forward in my own endeavors and she gave me the motivation to keep on going! Helping her and making her feel comfortable when other companies before had failed her was an accomplishment I’ll never forget. We aren’t here to judge. Adding those personal touches with clients has been the most meaningful part of this journey. In a way I feel like I’m taking a part of their workload and carrying that for them. Lightening things up so they can continue forward.

Brianna, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I started in the business or at least began my experience in the business at a young age. I worked cleaning department stores for my grandparents. They are two of the most hardworking people I know. They were shining examples of dedication and determination. As I grew older I wanted to experience different workforce environments. However, I knew what I was good at. I knew I had the skills and I had gained a strong marketing background through my various workplace positions. I had never been positive what I wanted to do – but I knew what I could do. That’s where I started. Magnifique Clean was born. I would be able to help people and build personal connections. I had to learn to keep myself disciplined and maintain a solid work schedule. Working for yourself can be tricky. You have room to slack and the only person to answer to is yourself. It takes a level of determination to stick with your schedule. It took multiple tries and failures but through those I learned a lot. Many life lessons that I still carry now. These failures are learning lessons that enable me to grow into what Magnifique Clean is blossoming into.

How did you build your audience on social media?
Building my social media has been reliant on word of mouth and also consistency. Building my social media presence has required posting things relevant to the business but also staying down to earth. I am walking a delicate line sometimes when speaking about cleanliness. No one wants to feel like someone is coming into their home with preconceived ideas. I stay light hearted and humble. I’m here for people and they need to know that. Aside from doing personal businesses, I also clean real estate. This requires building professional connects and posting before & after segments to display my work. If they are going to hire someone they want to see what they are paying for!
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Magnifique Clean was started during the hardest period of my life. We had just moved from Utah to Oregon. We had left a previous home in Oregon we had resided in for little over a year. Then amidst all of this my husband was laid off. I had to keep myself in the right headspace and carry on. Luckily I am backed by a strong support system which I believe is essential to any business owner. You need “your people” to fall back on. I was lucky enough to have this and was able to move forward into lighter times. None of us love the hardships we experience but sometimes they are necessary for growth.
