Brianna, appreciate you joining us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Most people would try to answer this question in the most complex way possible. These four simple pointers have created a successful business that I have now been in for 11 years now. It has allowed me opportunity to work in the fashion industry as an artist for NYFW. Also, I recently had the opportunity to work with Sony Televison and bless actress Bria Samone’ Henderson of ABCs hit show “The Good Doctor.” As well as recently traveling to Los Angeles to work the Grammy’s. These four things have led me to a successful path in my career in the beauty industry:
1. Be Committed-Stay focused on your end goal. Dedicate 30 minutes daily to think about your plan and work toward it. This will keep your goal fresh and keep you focused on it.
2. Learn from the journey- Rather than focusing strictly on the results of your accomplishments, take notice of the small steps needed to achieve success. If you allow yourself to enjoy small victories along your journey, reaching your goal will become a new adventure each day, and you will be more likely to stay on track. By doing this, you will learn new and exciting things along the way, which can help you grow as a person.
3.Have fun along the way-If the journey to achieve something becomes too tedious, succeeding will be more challenging.
4.Think Positively Developing a positive mindset is about trusting yourself and your ability to succeed. It’s important to replace any negative thoughts with positive ones to motivate yourself to keep trying no matter what challenges come your way.

Brianna, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Hi! I am Brianna Kelley professional makeup artist, beauty educator, Brand Owner of Beyond Bridal Beauty Austin, Texas #1 Bridal Service Team, Since early childhood I have always been passionate about art. In the last 11 years one of my most exquisite expressions of art has been becoming a professional makeup artist. I have trained and now specialize in a wide range of luxurious personalized beauty services for people from all walks of life. I have also in the last year taken on the title beauty educator! Meaning I am ready to share my knowledge and wisdom of the beauty industry.
I am available for various onsite makeup and beauty needs. This includes bridal and wedding services, special occasion services, 1-on-1 makeup classes, photoshoots, and much more. I am based out of Austin, Texas and I am always available to travel outside of Texas as well. Beyond Bridal Beaute is a worldwide brand that has been seen at the Grammy’s and on various national television networks. Also, named “Makeup Artist of the Year” for 2022 for the Local Austin City Awards.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Let me give these 5 pointers because as you can tell by now from reading, I love to keep it simple and get straight to the point! To grow your clientele, you can:
1.Offer excellent customer service and support. It is not just an appointment! It is the experience that will keep a client coming back! What do you offer that another person that provides the same service as you does not? Hmm something to think about huh?
2.Build partnerships with other businesses. Collaboration is key when growing clientele. This creates extra income when someone in the same industry as you are not available to service a client. And here is your opportunity to make them your forever client.
3.Request referrals from your existing clients and create a ‘fan club’- Always remember to add and tag your clients on all social media platforms. This is the quickest way to a new client.
4.Collect and study customer feedback- Remind your customers to leave a review and if you have a booking site an automated message should be sent to a client after services have been complete. We want to make sure we have provided a top tier experience that will have them booking for every occasion.
5.Promote your business and leverage online marketing-Automated Text and Systems will keep your business up and running. Social media is literally the way of the world. Automated flyers will keep those clients coming.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
I have learned to always stand out! Whether that be my signature bantu knots, my radiant smile that will light up an entire room upon my entrance, or my fabulous sense of plus size fashions that oozes confidence that will leave you in ahhhh. All these things are automatic conversation staters that will lead to someone wanting to look like me!
Let’s not forget my outstanding professionalism that will have you wanting to know how you can be in the same room with me again.
I have always stayed committed to myself. My goal is to always make an impact on anyone I come in contact with. I have always chosen to learn from the people in the room. Taking notice of small things in the room can only add to your clientele. And, me being in a room where I am the only that looks like me will always be an advantage and opportunity for meeting new and potential clientele.
