We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Brianna Gilman. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Brianna below.
Brianna , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?
When it came time to name my business, I wanted something that reflected who I am, but didn’t limit the brand to just my personal identity. In the photo and video industry, it’s common to see businesses named after the founder—usually something like ‘[Name] Photography’—and while there’s nothing wrong with that, I knew I wanted something that could grow and evolve beyond just me.
Back in college, most people knew me by the nickname ‘Rebel,’ so incorporating that felt like a natural way to honor where this journey started—literally in my college dorm room. I paired that with ‘Media House’ because from the beginning, I knew I wanted to build something broader than just photography and videography. We produce podcasts, manage social media, and support small businesses in a variety of creative ways.
Rebel Media House was born in a small townhome during my senior year of college. It started as a simple podcast with friends—just a fun way to connect and blow off steam—and slowly grew into the full-service media company it is today.

Brianna , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
For those who haven’t heard of me or Rebel Media House yet—hi, I’m the founder and creative force behind a small but mighty media company based in Dallas. I got my start during my senior year of college, in a small townhome, when a group of friends and I launched a podcast just for fun. What started as a way to hang out and vent quickly sparked something bigger in me—I realized I loved the process of creating content, telling stories, and bringing ideas to life. That passion evolved into what is now Rebel Media House.
We’re a full-service media company that provides photography, videography, podcast production, and social media management—mainly for small businesses, real estate clients, and couples looking to document meaningful moments in a modern, authentic way. I like to say that we specialize in visual storytelling across multiple formats. Whether it’s capturing the heart of a wedding day, showcasing the unique features of a luxury listing, or helping a small brand show up confidently online, we’re here to make people and businesses look and feel their best.
What sets us apart is our versatility and our heart. We don’t box ourselves into one niche—we intentionally chose the name ‘Media House’ to reflect that we’re a creative hub, not just a photo or video company. I’m deeply involved in every project, and I care about getting to know our clients, their stories, and their goals. The people we work with aren’t just customers—they’re collaborators.
I’m most proud of the fact that Rebel Media House was built from scratch, with nothing more than an idea, a mic, and a lot of ambition. It’s a reflection of who I am, where I started, and where I want to go. If there’s one thing I want people to know about us, it’s that we’re not just here to deliver content—we’re here to build connection, inspire creativity, and help people show up with confidence in a digital world.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Connection is at the core of everything we do. The majority of our clients come to us through word-of-mouth and personal recommendations, which we take as the highest compliment. While our social media following is still growing, it’s a tight-knit and engaged community that continues to open doors and spark new opportunities. Because we work with such a diverse range of clients across various industries—from real estate to weddings to small businesses—we’re able to build lasting relationships that often lead to multiple collaborations over time.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
ne of the biggest lessons I had to unlearn was the idea that I had to do everything myself. In the beginning, it felt natural to wear all the hats—but I quickly realized that a business can only grow so much when it’s limited to one person’s capacity. Opening up my space to others, expanding my network, and learning to delegate have been pivotal to both personal and professional growth. Letting go of some control wasn’t easy, but it was essential. It allowed me to not only scale the business but also step more fully into my role as a leader and creative director.
