We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Brianna Collett a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Brianna, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Are you happier as a business owner? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job?
Working as an entrepreneur has been a truly rewarding experience. It has given me the opportunity to pursue my passion for website design, social media management, marketing, and content creation, while also allowing me to have a greater sense of ownership and creative freedom in my work.
Being an entrepreneur has taught me valuable lessons in resourcefulness, adaptability, and problem-solving. I’ve had the chance to build my own brand, cultivate meaningful relationships with clients, and continuously challenge myself to stay ahead in the ever-evolving digital landscape.
However, I must admit that there have been moments when I’ve contemplated the idea of returning to a “regular job.” While entrepreneurship grants me flexibility and creative freedom, a full-time role in a company can provide stability, structure, access to greater resources, and the chance to collaborate with a diverse team.
I often dream of a “regular job,” when I start freaking out about the future. Is this work sustainable long-term? Will I have enough money to retire? Will the kids have money for college (do I need to pay for their college?)? It would also be great to take a vacation and really be on vacation. Not answering client calls and emails or posting to social media.
My journey as an entrepreneur has been incredibly transformative, providing me with a diverse skill set that I believe makes me a strong candidate in the job market. I have acquired valuable skills that are not only relevant in my field but also applicable across various industries. I know I can leverage my entrepreneurial background to bring fresh perspectives, a proactive mindset, and a drive for excellence to any future role.
The freedom, flexibility, and control over my calendar as an entrepreneur has had a profoundly positive impact on my happiness and well-being. The ability to cherish meaningful moments with my family, pursue personal passions, find purpose in my work, and continuously evolve as a professional makes the journey of entrepreneurship all the more rewarding and fulfilling.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m Brianna, and I am a coffee-loving, sweatpants-wearing entrepreneur. I’m a Wix expert who wants to help other women like me succeed. I want to do the heavy lifting for you so that you can spend less time stressing over your website and more time doing what you love.
My journey has been quite a thrilling ride! With a solid background in local TV news as a producer, I’ve always had a passion for storytelling and creative expression.
four eyes media started back in 2020 when a family member approached me for assistance with building a website. Little did I know that this simple request would ignite my passion for web design and development! It quickly became a fun creative outlet for me, and I knew I had stumbled upon something special.
Embracing the opportunity, I decided to turn my newfound love for web design into a side hustle. But that’s not where my entrepreneurial spirit stopped! Around the same time, a friend sought my help in managing the social media presence of her real estate business. Intrigued by the challenge, I dove in and found myself excelling in this realm as well!
Fast forward three years and my skills in both web design and social media have grown exponentially. Not only have I honed my abilities, but I’ve also expanded the services offered by four eyes media. Today, we are proud to provide a wide range of cutting-edge solutions to our clients, helping them establish a strong online presence and tell their stories in captivating ways.
As the CEO of four eyes media, I’m continually seeking new opportunities to innovate and explore the ever-evolving digital landscape. I am grateful for the support of my clients and the satisfaction that comes from helping businesses thrive in the digital realm.
When I’m not busy crafting online experiences, you can find me indulging in my love for rom-com books, hanging out with my husband, two boys, and our puppy Mazey, or volunteering with my church or school PTO (which I also do social media for)

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
As I was starting my own business, luck smiled upon me, and I landed a major client—none other than a local brick-and-mortar shop that I had been a loyal customer of for years! My excitement knew no bounds as I set out to design the first draft of their website. It was more than just a project; it felt like a dream come true—a chance to combine my passion for design with my admiration for their business.
With dedication and creativity, I poured my heart into crafting a stunning website that truly represented their unique identity. Filled with eagerness, I sent off my masterpiece, eagerly awaiting their response. But alas, days turned into weeks, and silence echoed on the other end. They had ghosted me—vanished into thin air, leaving me in a state of devastation.
Despite the blow, I refused to let this setback define my journey. Of course, it stung—I won’t deny that. But I decided not to wallow, but instead, I chose to see the silver lining.
Though the client may have disappeared, I was left with a stunning website design—an opportunity in disguise. Instead of letting it go to waste, I realized that I could repurpose it for future projects or showcase it in my portfolio. And so, I held my head high, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
Sure, it would have been easy to give up at that point. But I knew that success in the entrepreneurial world wasn’t just about avoiding failures—it was about bouncing back from them with even greater resolve.
Embrace the challenges, learn from the setbacks, and let them fuel your journey toward success. And most importantly, never, ever let a ghosting incident—dim the flame of your dreams.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Building my reputation as a website designer revolves around two key values: reliability and authenticity. As a small business owner, a woman, and a mom, these principles are at the heart of everything I do.
First and foremost, reliability is the cornerstone of my business. When clients entrust me with their website design, I make it my mission to deliver exceptional results, always meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations. Being a small business owner and juggling various roles in my personal life has taught me the importance of being dependable and consistent in my work.
But it’s not just about getting the job done; it’s also about being there for my clients every step of the way. As a cheerleader for the client, I take immense pride in supporting them throughout the design process. From the initial discovery call to the final product, I’m invested in their success and dedicated to making their vision a reality.
Now, let’s talk about authenticity—a quality that I hold dear in both my professional and personal life. What you see on social media is exactly who you get when we have our discovery call. I believe in being genuine and transparent with my clients, building trust and fostering open communication. I don’t believe in putting on a facade or pretending to be something I’m not.
When you choose to work with me, you’re not just hiring a website designer; you’re gaining a partner who genuinely cares about your business and wants to see it thrive. I take the time to understand your brand, your values, and your goals, ensuring that your website reflects the essence of your business in a way that resonates with your audience.
Being authentic also means being receptive to feedback and continuously learning and growing. I embrace constructive criticism as an opportunity to improve and refine my skills, always striving to deliver better and more creative solutions.
In the world of website design, building a reputation is about more than just technical expertise—it’s about the human connection. Reliability and authenticity are the cornerstones of that connection. As a woman and a mom, I bring empathy, understanding, and a unique perspective to every project I take on.
