Brianna, appreciate you joining us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Success is not measured by the amount of money you have, yet success is measured by happiness within. You may ask what it takes to be successful? Confidence, Knowing you are great in every way. Goals a list of achievements that you will complete. Perseverance, falling 10 times and succeeding the 20th time. Discipline, doing what needs to be done even when you don’t feel like doing it. These 4 words are the key to having success and being successful.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers?

Have you ever had to pivot?
2020 the year of the pandemic business was great until the month of July, that’s when my life took a detour. July 4th my cousin Erica Robinson lost her life due to gun violence in the city of Atlanta, #JusticeforEricaRobinson. A few weeks after; my 6-month old nephew at the time and I were involved in a very bad car accident in which we both walked out alive. I managed to have a concussion, fracture foot and a few bruises while my nephew had no injuries. You would have thought my business and life would be over, but I’m here to tell you the opposite, Even though I had a fractured foot and a concussion I managed to still get small business apparel printed, ship out orders, and was a part of a pop-up shop a week after the accident. Yes, this did take a toll on my mental and physical health. I had no choice but to take a break and give myself time to heal. I had to tell my Clients and customers that I’m taking a break because of my situation; Which made me emotional because of the passion/loyalty I have for my clients and business.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
“You can’t do business with everybody”. Just because a person may have a business doesn’t mean they know how to efficiently run or operate a business. Having a business you want to expand and collaborate with other business owners but not all businesses have ethics/etiquette, some business owners are looking for a handout or a quick money scheme. I had to unlearn that not every business wants to support you, they see what you can do for them and take advantage . I have plenty of stores behind this, but one that stands out the most in the year 2019 I wanted to adventure out and start investing into small businesses like mine. I found a small business that I wanted to start investing in because I knew the potential it had, and I have seen the business at a pop-up shop before and seen the work this business brings to the table. I had a few conversations with the business owner on our next step on what needs to be done in this business agreement. needless to say the business owner did not hold up his end of the deal which led me to lose thousands of dollars. This situation allowed me to unlearn that some people are not meant to have a business and “you can’t do business with everybody”.
