Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Brianna Blank. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Brianna, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
A few years ago, I received an inquiry on if I created legacy videos, which are videos featuring stories about a specific person. The man in question unfortunately had cancer which had taken a turn for the worse. They gave me a brief background on him and his time in the war, working on farms, being handy around the house, and becoming a wonderful father. I had just lost my own father to side effects from cancer not too long before, and I thought that this was a wonderful idea. I had so many photos and videos of my Dad, but how cool would it have been if I had sat him down and discussed many of his life’s stories? I was intrigued by their inquiry so we set up a call and the rest followed!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am a multimedia producer, photographer, and videographer based in Western New York! When I pick up a camera, I think of my Dad. He had originally wanted to open his own photo studio as a young adult, but life had other plans for him. I originally became attached to cameras when I was a kid, where I would pick up our family’s VHS camcorder and recreate scenes from the “Lion King” with figurines. I would go on to take it wherever I would ride my bike and I ould constantly film my adventures. Throughout school, I was always the friend with the camera, and it never left my side! Today, I photograph and film everything from weddings, senior portraits, corporate events, family sessions, business advertising, and more.
I pride myself in helping my couples, families, and clients feel comfortable in front of the camera. No one is leaving my shoots without some tears in their eyes from laughter or a beaming smile. It’s always a party! So if anyone is looking for a lively, creative, and passionate individual that not only “gets the job done” but also explodes with happiness at “the perfect shot”, then let’s chat! Leaving you and your loved ones with precious memories to look back on, especially after someone has passed, is priceless.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Photography and filmmaking capture the essence of life, a slice of someone’s soul, and an experience that will often leave you breathless. Being able to be there for someone and to bring a smile to their face through stunning visuals is all I’ve ever hoped to do. I like to think that I am leaving a trail of happiness every frame per second.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
I think that the most rewarding aspect of being a creative today is being able to really take someone’s vision and bring it out into reality. If I am working on a project with a client that may be struggling to express their vision, I see the challenge and I love working with them to make it beyond what they could have ever dreamed. If I’m capturing more candid moments, nothing brings me more joy than seeing people relive those moments later on through my lens. Being able to help people capture a fleeting snippet of their time is both an honor and a blessing.
