We were lucky to catch up with Briana Biatto recently and have shared our conversation below.
Briana, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I was a personal trainer and a singer/songwriter living in Los Angeles and the industry kept telling me I needed to pick between being an artist or being in the fitness industry. They also were trying to influence me to chose a genre of music to stick to when all my music was so different but with the same Lyrical goal which was to influence people to be the best versions of themselves. My passion has always been to help people become not just physically fit, but spiritually, emotionally and mentally fit as well. Being Close to God, Fitness and Music are the best therapies so I decided to combine them all by becoming the first Contemporary Christian Fitness Artist.
I am a fitness artist who’s goal is to lower obesity rates, divorce rates and suicide rates by writing and singing songs that glorify God and motivate self-love & confidence while teaching my audience how to live a healthy lifestyle.
My goal is to host “Exerts” exercise concerts where people come to my concerts to sing and workout with me while shedding the weight of all of our insecurities and stressors while filling our hearts and soul with the love of Jesus!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I was an athlete my whole life, grew up in church and started singing at the age of 3 but it wasn’t until I was in my 20’s that I realized that all three of those passions could unify into something so powerful that would allow me to introduce the world to a new form of therapy that has molded me into who I have become and has gotten me through some of my most difficult times in life.
I truly believe that God has put me through a lot of difficult tribulations to make me stronger knowing I would overcome it all but to also become an artist that many women can relate to and learn from.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
This is actually a funny story. I was working at LA Fitness as the head of the personal training department and I found a small space that I had planned on slowly with each paycheck turning it into my own private personal training facility but then a week later COVID hit and we were all layed off so I took every unemployment check I received and invested it into my gym along with buying and selling things on marketplace and within a month I was seeing clients one on one and providing a space for other trainers to train their clients one on one (Covid safe of course) when everything else was closed down and I never had to get a loan or pay anything back. I was truly blessed with how my business got started.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Becoming a mom really helped build my reputation because instead of being the naturally fit typical trainer who usually has too high of expectations for their clients because they have never had to lose a bunch of weight, I have become the trainer that has to work just as hard as my clients and struggle alongside them.
I have a 1 and a 2 year old 12.5 months apart and after my first I bounced back pretty fast but my second child has taken me on a whole new journey that makes me want to cater to moms in a whole other capacity because now I have had to dig deeper to learn about hormone imbalances, vitamin deficiencies and struggle through my own journey to figure out how to help my clients, which again I feel is a reason God gave me this journey, to overcome it and help others.
