We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful BRIAN SCOTT Gross. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with BRIAN SCOTT below.
BRIAN SCOTT, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Alright, so we’d love to hear about how you got your first client or customer. What’s the story?
I started my public relations company by complete accident and with the help of a few people I had worked with at a prior company. Upon being let go and figuring out what my next move was, I was contacted by a few different people who wanted to me be their publicist and work with them on the projects they were involved with. Once was starring in a mainstream independent film. One was going to become a Penthouse Pet and needed help on promoting this accomplishment. One group of people had started a production company and needed help in the marketing and publicity for their new venture. I said yes to all three and immediately took meetings with friends of mine who started their own publicity firms. These meetings gave me a wealth of knowledge, and I was excited and inspired to begin this new path in my life to become fully independent and create a company that I has continued on, 24 years later.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

Have you ever had to pivot?
The pandemic was an obvious life changing experience for everyone. For myself, the very beginning brought concern for those around me, and the willingness to adapt to change immediately. For my business, the first 2 months brought great uncertainty. However, the increase in stay at home work and the explosion of the content creator industry meant I was needed by many to help guide and promote a wide variety of people and businesses through uncharted territory. Every day brought new challenges, extreme responsibilities and the need to help those whose lives would be forever changed.
Any advice for managing a team?
I’ am a firm believer in hiring the best and allowing them space to do their job. Work with people, guide them, listen to them and allow them to grow and feel vibrant in themselves.
