Brian, appreciate you joining us today. Are you happy as a creative professional? Do you sometimes wonder what it would be like to work for someone else?
I have learned that there is no reward, without taking risk. I’m extremely happy being an artist… letting the world hear my experiences, letting them see how creative I can be, puts a huge smile on my face.. especially when I see that they know the words
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m an independent artist from a small town called Seneca, in South Carolina. Honestly my homeboy was rapping, and let me on his song.i was just playing around having fun. He liked it so much he told me I should take this more serious, and he helped me out tremendously. I’m very unique artist that blends my life, things I have seen, and my personal beliefs in my music.. my music is original, and u never know what u will get out of it.. from singing to rapping, u can hear the realness in every bar. I’m most proud, that the more serious I take this, the better I get.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
I’m trying to put my city on the map. I want to build a legacy for my friends, family and my baby boy. That’s what fuels me to keep going
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I was heavy in the streets when I started, I mean I was waist deep. I was using the streets to help facilitate, with studio time and just living.. I was locked up for 6 months, When I first started to buzz around my state. And I had to make tough decisions, and cut a lot of stuff out.. if I wanted to to really do this music stuff
