Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Brian James Mckeever . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Brian James , appreciate you joining us today. Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.
First got interested by hearing my dad play guitar then my cousin got me into Rock. Then my southern family got me into Southern Rock and father always had me listening 70s country
Studied with all different teaches and styles both private and college
Learned Music Production by listening and working for various producers around new york and Los Angeles
Had many setbacks such as singers I was working with die as well as go to prison or get heavily involved with drugs or just being plain nuts haaa. after i had invested so much time etc Ayiyi
I did have full support from my parents and family and mom passing away unexpectedly 3 years ago from mesothelioma
Still striving to break into the big time at the age of 53 but we can definitely shave at least 10 years off due to the industry standards of getting somewhere ha
Have never given up after playing writing and producing for about 40 years ..ayiyi still striving. But my greatest gift and accomplishment is being gifted with my son Vincent whom I want to set up a solid future for by getting at least one damn song made into a hit
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding is to share with someone how to create music and have your own music felt related to amd appreciated by people whom just like music and to inspire or make someone feel good etc while listening to something you’ve created out of thin air and blank space
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Being at this for 40 years and striving and trying to force doors open for us meaning the artists i work with as well as my partners and myself and not getting there yet
Having great talented young singers die or go to prison or get hooked on drugs and getting set back to square one time and time again is extremely deterring and frustrating but we keep going especially after going to a live concert of a favorite bond whomever it is seems to regenerate that inspiration and perseverance because you know deep inside that if it’s possible for them it’s possible for everyone unless they were created by interstellar aliens that is haaa. Who knows
