Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Brian Guilliaux. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Brian thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I can recall the time/period in my life when it became crystal clear that I intended to devote my life to the Arts. I was a student (Classical and Contemporary Dance) at the Performing and Visual Arts High School in Dallas Texas
and it was there that I was given the exposure and opportunities to perform with the Opera as well as many other established professional Arts groups. Being fortunate enough to attend such an amazing school opened my eyes to countless possibilities in the Arts.
While my professional path began in the world of Dance and lasted for many years, it quickly expanded into composing music for Ballet and Film, and for the last 20 years I have been working professionally as a Dance and Fashion Photographer.

Brian , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Brian Guilliaux and I am a Professional Photographer and Visual Artist based in Dallas Texas. Most people know me as a Dance Photographer due to the fact that I work closely with so many Ballet and Contemporary Dance Companies. One of the keys to my success in that genre is my extensive background as a professional dancer and teacher.
An Artistic Director of a Dance Company knows that I will bring the very best out of the dancers when it comes to line, energy and movement qualities. I also apply the same thought process to Fashion Photography.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Clearly the freedom that comes with being a full-time artist is amazing, but I must say that the most rewarding part of my career is the people that I get to create with.
Regardless if its a legend in their field or a student learning their discipline, I feel fortunate to be a part of their journey. Every photoshoot I do enriches my life in some way. There is absolutely nothing like waking up everyday and doing what you truly love! It keeps me curious and inspired.

Alright – so here’s a fun one. What do you think about NFTs?
I have recently become more and more interested in NFTs and I am very curious about how and if physical art as opposed to digital art, will become a part of that platform. Ive been approached several times about turning many of my paintings into NFTs, and perhaps that will be a way in the future for people to purchase Fine Art.
Its so new, but my mind is open to the concept.
