Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Brian Gratz. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Brian thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
There are so many obstacles in starting a business, from overhead costs, payroll, to quality control, all of which can be hard to overcome. But, there is one obstacle that I have found to be the most important to overcome in becoming successful in business: the fear of the unknown. This mental hurdle can cloud judgement, and prevent you from seeing the business and industry clearly.
Whether its starting a business, scaling it, or navigating industry trends, embracing these changes will allow you to stay one step ahead of the competition. Harness the fear of the unknown and make it work for you and your business’.
Brian, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Story-telling my passion. It is what drives me every single day, and why I have spent the past twelve years of my life using my talent and skills to tell stories.
I spent seven of those years I served active duty Air Force as a broadcast journalist, covering and documenting world events. I did everything from create documentaries for the Dept. of Defense to providing live-video coverage of humanitarian efforts across the world.
If there is one take-away I would want readers to leave with, it is how dedicated I am to telling your story. Whether it is creating a compelling commercial for a business to reach their target audience, or capturing the magic of a couple’s wedding day. Using my skills to tell a story will always be something I take seriously and handle with the utmost care.
Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
I encourage all business owners to see how to use AI to their advantage. Whether it is helping creating creative content, a blog, or general business ideas. I see how AI can be used to your advantage, while acknowledging the current pitfalls and limitations.
How do you keep your team’s morale high?
During my time in the military, I served as a Staff Sergeant in charge of nearly 100 service men and women across different countries. The biggest lesson I learned in becoming a leader and creating a work environment that has high morale is to focus on one simple phrase: People do not care how much you know, until you know how much you care. Creating and maintain that high morale environment will evolve over time, people have goo days and bad, but they must always know deep down that you care about them as a person.
