We were lucky to catch up with Brian Connors recently and have shared our conversation below.
Brian, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
Well, as a working class kid from a working class family from Elizabeth NJ, I’m grateful to say that I’ve earned my living as an actor , writer, director and now recently as a producer. I had no family connections when I entered the business yet I still somehow managed to carve out a humble career in a very competitive business. The legacy I’m hoping to build is to be remembered for patience, persistence and dedication to artistic achievement. I don’t know what people will say about me when I’m gone but I hope if they watch SENIOR ENTOURAGE starring ED ASNER, HELEN REDDY, CHARLIE ROBINSON, MARION ROSS , MARK RYDELL and myself, that they will laugh and perhaps even become moved to tears of joy. I was fortunate and blessed to have worked with such a distinguished cast that was not only talented but kind, generous, unselfish and loving. With the generous support and perseverance of my investors and producers such as Lynn Tang among many others, I hope to be making many more sequel SENIOR TRIP movies that will bring enjoyment and entertainment to many countries and diverse peoples from around the world.

Brian, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
My favorite, inspirational industry books are MAKING MOVIES by the late, great director SIDNEY LUMET and ADVENTURES IN THE SCREEN TRADE by WILLIAM GOLDMAN

Have you ever had to pivot?
After graduating with a 2 year AA degree in Biology from Union County Junior College in Cranford NJ, I applied to 3 colleges. I was accepted into NYU and Fordham University in NYC into their acting programs but the tuition and cost of living in Manhattan was way beyond my and my family’s means. I was also accepted into Rutgers College our dear, esteemed and affordable university where I believe the in state tuition for me was $700 per year ! Upon arrival, I switched majors from Biology to English / Drama and very grateful to say I got world class education, training and experience that prepared me to start a professional acting career in The Big Apple.
