We were lucky to catch up with Bri Williams recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Bri thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
Growing up I was surrounded by women in my family who were very creative, and I believe that helped put me on my artistic path. I took jewelry making classes in high school and in college, but it wasn’t until I started wire wrapping that I received an overwhelming response from people wanting to purchase my art. In 2020 I began selling jewelry on Etsy and I have been fortunate to share my art with people across the country.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Aquarius Moon Designs began in 2020 for my love of crystals and jewelry. My goal is to create pieces that showcase as much as the crystal, with open backing on my necklaces intended for the stone to connect with the person wearing it. Over the years, I have branched out from just jewelry making to using different mediums such as: clay for sculptures, crystal sun catchers, and wire wrapped circlets.
Selling my creations online has been rewarding, however I pushed myself out of my comfort zone this year and decided to try being a vendor at markets. I took the leap over the summer to create a booth for a market and sell my creations, and I was met with incredible amounts of positivity and uplifting encouragement. My business is ever-evolving and I have been grateful for the ability to collaborate with other local artists to create 1 of a kind art wearable art pieces.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I currently use Instagram and TikTok for my main forms of social media and I have been able to attribute my following growth by continuously engaging in the community! It’s important to comment and share your thoughts with other creatives on their content, especially if they are local or in a similar industry because it is a networking tool as well.
This year, I have been fortunate enough to team up with artists who are local to San Diego, and some artists who live in other states to host giveaways and collaborations.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
I am so grateful for the positive feedback I receive online and in person for my art, and for the energy I put out into the world.
It’s extremely rewarding to be apart of a community with local artists and like minded individuals to support one another.
