We recently connected with Bri Nicole and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Bri, thanks for joining us today. So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?

I started Creatrix based on a daily affirmation I told myself, “I want to dominate all things creative.” Using a portmanteau of two words that I felt describe myself and my vision, I combined Creative and Dominatrix in one and birthed, Creatrix. We are a multi divisions company dabbling in small business consulting, talent vetting and are certified to obtain government contracts for other local businesses.

Bri, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I have always felt like creating relationships with good people is how we make this world go round. I know so many talented people who are trying to eat at “the table,” but, where is the table? I created Creatrix to be the “Round Table” for all those who want to sit and eat together.

Creatrix is many things. But mainly we are a multi division company. The first division, Creatrix Consulting, focuses on consulting small businesses. We are the fresh pair of eyes looking at what is already established and seeing how we can expand what that business is already achieving and add a little, sawce to it.

The second division is Creatrix Collective. The Collective is filled with musicians, comedians, IT security techs, photographers, studios, production companies and much more. The slogan for our Collective is simple, “If we can’t do it for you, we know someone who can.” I take pride in upholding solid beneficial business relationships with anyone I meet and feel a sense of accomplishment when I’m able to work with a small business and refer them to someone from our Collective who will do their do diligence. The Collective has been hired to do comedy shows, paint and sips, music events and more. We are the one stop shop for all things needed for any event.

The third division is government contracting. We are certified under special criteria to bid and obtain work for the government and subcontract other local businesses to fulfill the duties required for that specific bid. This division is still under works as being we are still figuring out how the entire process benefits not just Creatrix but others as well. We are excited to see what the future holds for this division and how we can expand.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?

The best source for new clients is always word of mouth! I pride myself on giving my clients exceptional service and nothing says “they did a great job!” by referring me to the next person who might need my services.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

Other than starting my own business, I’m also a musician and a model. I’ve been modeling for a little over 3 years and have had an extensive resume working with Serena Williams for her clothing line, Serena. commercials, run way, and even produce and write my own music while trying to learn to play the bass. Since starting Creatrix, I’ve had to put my music and modeling career to the side, for the time being, The Virgo in me wants to be able to work on all these things at the same time, but I only have 24 hours in a day. While having to put a few of my passions on the back burner, I’m still certain I will come back to those once I have my feet fully in the water with Creatrix. I’m excited to see what the future holds for myself and those I’m working with.
