Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Bri Luginbill . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Bri, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
This end of June, we had the opportunity to rent a business space on our downtown village called Dimondale, MI. We decided to go for it and it was such a good decision! At the time I’m writing this, it’s mid July and we have sound many packages and memberships and have people drop-in to yoga class. The community support and interest has been incredible and it feels like we opened our yoga and creative studio at the perfect time.
Bri, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I decided to become a yoga instructor because yoga had helped me in my own personal movement journey that I wanted to help support others in theirs too. I have a rare diseases called beckwith Weidemann Syndrome that affects my muscular skeletal system. Yoga really helped me to relieve joint pain and gently strengthen my balance and muscles. Some of those who attends my yoga practice have chronic illness or pain and I love being able to offer them accessible and adaptable yoga.
Do you have multiple revenue streams – if so, can you talk to us about those streams and how your developed them?
My business has multiple income stream from yoga classes to pdf workbooks to photography sessions and holistic coaching both personal and professional. Right now I have a coaching client that I’m serving both personally and professionally to help her achieve opening her own yoga practice as well!
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Before opening my brick and mortar studio, I started cresting an online presence through social media. I built my audience through participating in local groups on Facebook, grew my Facebook page and Instagram through hosting giveaways and polling the community on what yoga classes they wanted to see. This was really amazing because the online local community basically created the schedule they wanted to see and when we opened for in person classes, they were more apt to attend.
