We recently connected with Bri Logue and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Bri, thanks for joining us today. Owning a business isn’t always glamorous and so most business owners we’ve connected with have shared that on tough days they sometimes wonder what it would have been like to have just had a regular job instead of all the responsibility of running a business. Have you ever felt that way?
Being a business owner definitely has its ups and downs, and there are days when I question whether it’s all worth it. But, at the end of the day, I wouldn’t trade the freedom that comes with entrepreneurship for anything.
I remember the last time I thought about what it would be like to have a regular job. It was a particularly tough day – we had just hit a major roadblock in a deal we were trying to close, I had a client who wanted to back out of a contract we had already started, and I was feeling very overwhelmed and burnt out. At that moment, the idea of having a stable 9-5 job with a consistent paycheck and clear expectations seemed really appealing.
But then, I took a step back and thought about what I really value in life. I value flexibility, creativity, and the ability to build something of my own. As an entrepreneur, I have the freedom to create my own schedule, pursue projects that I’m passionate about, I get to choose my own team and work with clients one on one. These are all things that I wouldn’t be able to do in a traditional job.
At the end of the day, it’s important to remember why you chose this path – and while there may be times when you feel overwhelmed or uncertain, don’t forget why you started your business in the first place.
So, while there are certainly hard days as an entrepreneur, I ultimately come back to the fact that the benefits far outweigh the challenges. I’m happier as a business owner because I’m able to live life on my own terms and create something that’s truly my own.
Bri, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
For those who may not know me, I’m Bri Logue, a real estate investor, and entrepreneur. I got into this industry because I’ve always been passionate about finding creative solutions to complex problems, and real estate investing is the perfect combination of analytical thinking and strategic problem-solving.
At our company, We Buy Sad Houses, we provide a range of services for real estate investors, including sourcing off-market deals, performing due diligence, and connecting investors with potential buyers or partners. Our goal is to help our clients maximize their profits and build a successful real estate portfolio.

Does your business have multiple or supplementary revenue streams (like a ATM machine at a barbershop, etc)?
Yes, our business actually has three streams of revenue.
The first is wholesaling off-market properties. This is where we find properties that are not listed on the MLS and then sell them to other real estate investors for a profit. It’s a great way to generate revenue and help other investors find good deals.
The second stream is REI BOT CRM. This is a CRM that we developed in-house to help manage our own business, and we’ve started selling it to other wholesalers last year. It’s a great tool for managing leads, tracking deals, and staying organized.
The third stream is joint ventures or JVs. This is where we partner with other wholesalers to help them sell their deals. We have a strong network of investors and cash buyers, so we’re able to connect our partners with potential buyers and help them close deals quickly.
Overall, having multiple streams of revenue has been key to our success as a business. It allows us to diversify our income and weather any ups and downs in the real estate market. Plus, it gives us the opportunity to help other investors and wholesalers succeed in their own businesses.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
One lesson that I had to unlearn was that I had to do everything myself. For a long time, I thought that it was easier and more efficient for me to handle every aspect of the business, rather than delegating tasks to employees.
The backstory is that I’ve always been a bit of a control freak. I’m passionate about what I do, and I want everything to be done perfectly. But as our business grew and we took on more clients, I found myself constantly working long hours and feeling burned out.
Finally, I realized that I needed to let go and trust my team to handle some of the workload. I started delegating tasks and empowering my employees to take on more responsibility, and it was a game-changer. Not only did it free up my time to focus on the work I actually love to do, but it also made our operations more efficient overall.
Now, I’m a big believer in delegation and collaboration. I know that I don’t have to do everything myself and that there are people on my team who are more than capable of handling tasks and making important decisions. It’s been a lesson that’s taken some time to unlearn, but it’s made a huge difference in my business and my overall quality of life.
