We were lucky to catch up with Bri Landry recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Bri, thanks for joining us today. One of our favorite things to brainstorm about with friends who’ve built something entrepreneurial is what they would do differently if they were to start over today. Surely, there are things you’ve learned that would allow you to do it over faster, more efficiently. We’d love to hear how you would go about setting things up if you were starting over today, knowing everything that you already know
If I were given the opportunity to start all over again I would be sure to always TRUST MYSELF and follow my first mind. I would always overthink myself into doing something someone else would tell me to do. The answers live within. I would also hire more help! Trying to do everything myself is always hit or miss. Hiring a professional to handle certain task saves time, energy, and is likely going to make your business more efficient and effective!

My name is Bri Landry! I am from south Louisiana , born and raised. I center my art around Louisiana majority of the time. I have been an artist my entire life, but I started taking my talents seriously during the pandemic. In unprecedented times I established a unique way to bring families and friends together through art. I think what sets me a part from others in my industry is the fact that I never had a blueprint or anyone else’s ideas to work from. Before I started doing paint parties I had never did a party before. I was asked to host a party for a family member one day and my business blew up and has been steady ever since. I think that consumers respect authenticity. I used my skills as a waitress and customer service professional and applied them to how I conduct my paint parties. I am most proud of my progress and how far I have come as an artist. I want people to know that just an ounce of support goes a long way and has always been my motivation for going hard. In addition to paint parties, Creative Xpressions also offers Web Design and business branding services. I am currently a WIX Partner Creator and a Meta Certified Digital Marketing Associate. To be able to do what I love all day everyday is an absolute dream come true!
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
My pivot happened when I decided to dive into Web Development and Business Branding and focus less on paint parties. This is something I had always been doing behind the scenes so it came so easy for me. I think this pivot was actually a power move because I am able to network and meet so many prominent business professionals in this journey.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for me has always been customer service and keeping my clients needs first. I realize that I may not always satisfy everyone, but I try my best to make sure my customers and clients feel and see how much I truly do care about them and how grateful I am for them.
