We were lucky to catch up with Brey Foster recently and have shared our conversation below.
Brey, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
The name of my brand, ‘Blossmd Cosmetics,’ stems from the concept of personal transformation and growth, reflecting the journey of individuals as they evolve into something new. This notion holds significance for me, as I have undergone a personal transformation over the past five years following my coming out as transgender. As I continue to evolve, both personally and professionally, so the name of my brand has a very personal meaning to me.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m an Actress, Entrepreneur, and as of recent a Model with NV Models. I’ve been blessed with multiple brand opportunities from companies such as KetchBeauty, Temu, and Comfelie, but I’ve been even more blessed to have my own startup Blossmd Cosmetics.
I have had the opportunity to star in a film called colorblind by Film Producer and multiple Grammy nominee Michael Steven-Paul, I felt that I wasn’t ready professionally for such a big role for which led to my representation by NV Models where I can both perfect my talent in modeling and acting and get gigs for such talents.
I am the Founder and CEO of Blossmd Cosmetics. Blossmd Cosmetics is my new affordable cosmetics line which stemmed from my knowledge that there was a lack of high-quality and cheap cosmetic goods locally so I figured that I would use my current social standing to try and meet that demand.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I’ve built my audience on social media by keeping a consistent posting schedule. My growth started from TikTok where I would share videos related to my niche, I found that growing on TikTok was pretty easy you just have to decide on a niche your interested in wether it be makeup, fashion etc… after that it’s all about how consistently you post! My page is now at 10.2k followers and over 200k likes.
If I had any advice for those of you who are now starting to build a social presence, I would say start off on TikTok it’s pretty easy to grow off of in my opinion.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I think what’s helped me to really get my foot into the door in the beauty industry is social media, I wouldn’t be this far with all these opportunities without my followers, family, friends, and more so Jesus Christ, I’ve been very fortunate to earn such opportunities to build off of.
