At eleven, his stuttering worsened, prompting his mom to seek further help. Determined to overcome his impediment, especially motivated by his dream of becoming a pilot, Brett devised his own method of using smoother replacement words. Over time, he mastered his speech and pursued aviation, despite the financial hurdle of flight school. With support from the Steve Harvey awarding Brett a scholarship, Brett earned his private pilot’s license and is now working toward his commercial pilot’s license.
